After 5 years of slogging through basic repairs and upgrade projects (mainly walls, floors and drainage), we had finally brought our home to the point where it was ready for serious decorating. We had some word of mouth recommendations, but none sounded just right, and in the end, we selected Nanette based on the written comments here on the Home Stars site. We are very happy with this decision! After spending just a couple of hours with Nanette we now have a very clear picture of how our rooms will come together and come alive. We’re very pleased with the advice we received from Nanette about colour (which was our primary request) but also about lighting, furniture/furniture placement, accents, and window treatments. Now we are using the notes we took and the colour palettes we received from Nanette and we’re working one room at a time to bring the vision to life. So far we’ve completed just one room (the master bedroom) and we’re very happy with the result. Next will be the living room and dining room. We’ve picked up the accent tables already, and as soon as our decoration fund is flush we’ll pick up the paint and the rest of the materials, furniture and area rug. We’re really looking forward to this. We would highly recommend Nanette. She is incredibly skilled and intuitive, and she is a pleasure to work with.

The floors were in very poor condition, with some holes that had been patched with plywood, and some areas with fairly dark stains. The end product is stunning. New wood was interwoven where the plywood had been and the new and old wood are blended perfectly. You would never know that a problem had ever existed. The stains were completed removed and we are thrilled with the work. In terms of customer service - A-one. Demetris arrived always on schedule and he completed the work in the stated time frame.

When my neighbour asked me to consider a joint project that would repair the damp basement wall in her house and in mine immediately adjacent, I offered to get quotations from various firms, including this one owned by Mr. Tony Diamond. I had undertaken a project with Mr. Diamond a few years earlier and had been impressed with his work, so this is why I included him in the quotation process. In the end, Mr. Diamond's quote was approximately equal to that of the other bidders and so we selected his firm to do the work. My neighbour and I were truly impressed with the results - the project was started right on time and finished right on time. Every evening Mr. Diamond came to the jobsite and made sure that the grounds were tidied, raked and secured. He even washed the driveway every evening. This was a fair and honest job, superbly done by a team of very effective and professional workers.
