After several other companies gave outrageously high quotes, a friend recommended that I give Mo a call. He gave a thorough estimate and stuck to his quote accurately. He installed the baseboards, door trims and header, plus installed our bathroom vanity and cabinets expertly. His work is excellent, with perfect cuts/corners and everything fitting together beautifully without gaps. Mo was very friendly, hard-working and pleasant during all of our interactions. He worked diligently and cleaned up his work area daily. Overall, Mo is a great guy and a real pleasure to have in our home. I have no hesitation recommending him to others and will hire Mo/MR Woodworking again for more work when we start our downstairs renos this summer.

A few years ago, Jorian did an awesome job installing our kitchen backsplash [see my 1st review]. Fast-forward to Fall 2020 and it was no question that Jorian/Micom Tileworks was the only pro for our ensuite's custom full shower reno project. He was very helpful with suggestions and ideas for making sure the demo and prep went according to plan. Even though we had a huge delay resulting from our other/main bathroom reno project [nothing related to Jorian], he kept in contact regularly and remined totally patient and professional throughout until we were finally ready for him to install in Dec, 2020. As usual, he arrived every day on time and was consistently pleasant, cheerful and friendly. His many skills were evident and he made sure every aspect of his prep, Schluter system/waterproofing, tiling and grouting was all done to his extremely high standards. He invested himself in wanting to ensure that everything was done right the first time, and the results clearly speak for themselves. He helped us to lay out and confirm the total pattern design in our dining room that resulted in the marble veining flow together on the ceiling and the walls like they are from a slab! Upon close inspection, all of Jorian's cuts are sharp and even, with no jagged edges. He installed every tile flat/level/square, and they are all installed flat with zero lippage. All of his grout lines are the same: even spaced and perfectly straight. The same goes for all of the floor tiles, the [hidden] floor drain, and the in-floor heating system he installed. He made sure the floor and wall tiles all line up perfectly, and that the floor design flows together with the wall tiles. He patiently worked with us to ensure the Schulter trim and grout colours were the best match possible, and we are so pleased with the final results. These are just a few or the many reasons why we feel so grateful that Jorian installed our marble masterpiece. Everyone who has seen our shower, including tradespeople working on our main bathroom reno project, have given huge compliments about how incredible his tiling job is. We are so thrilled with the whole project that we of course got Jorian back for our main bathroom tub/shower reno project afterwards [separate review to follow]. Jorian is a super nice guy that is a reliable, honest, hard-working and expert/master tile setter and he treated our whole project like it was is own home. Do yourself a favour and get Jorian to do your tiling project also.

While searching for a shower glass company, it was starting to look like there were not many companies that focus mainly on shower doors/glass installs. That's why we feel so grateful to find VanGo Glass. Murray came over promptly/on time and measured our walk-in shower's floor to ceiling glass panel with his lasers, and he was so pleasant and professional to deal with. He gave us his expert opinion on the wall and ceiling brackets needed to secure the panel safely, the clarity improvements with using Ultraclear low-iron glass plus how the Diamon-fusion coating worked, and then Andrea sent us a vey detailed quote the next morning. Murray and Andrea both worked with us to make sure that we would be able to get installed what we wanted, without any hint of pressure or up-selling from them. We placed our order and deposit and just 2 short weeks later, Murray and his helper arrived with everything needed to install our large panel, and the install went super smoothly. Murray also added a glass shelf into our shower niche that looks stunning. We ended up choosing both the Ultraclear low-iron glass plus the Diamon-fusion coating and Wow, does the finished job look excellent! We have gotten many compliments from our family and other tradespeople about how great the clear shower panel looks. We were so happy with the whole VanGo Glass project that we decided to get Murray to also measure for the main bathroom hinged door glass project for our 2nd reno also [separate review to follow].

We feel so lucky to have found Jorian through his awesome reviews here on Homestars and he totally lived up to his solid reputation with our glass tile installation. Our general contractor brought an inexperienced tiler that did a terrible mess with the first install that had to be taken down and drywall replaced. Jorian worked with us to ensure that the walls were properly prepared and arrived on time as promised each day. His careful attention to detail was vital in making certain that this time, he installed each tile individually (taken off of the mesh backing) so that he could place each one perfectly. His cuts are spot on with no chipping or jagged edges and his grout lines are all straight, even, level and the same width. Jorian made great suggestions and was super patient, all the while diligently working away with a friendly and positive attitude. He was great to work with and did a few extra finishing touches at no extra cost. He is super pleasant and a real pleasure to have in our home. Will not hesitate to recommend him to others and to hire him again to do both our bathroom renos next year. Thanks Jorian!
