We contacted Valon and a few other companies through HomeStars after the painter we initially booked cancelled on us twice, the second time less than 7 days before the job was supposed to start. Needless to say, we were very stressed. Of all companies that replied with a quote, Valon was the most personable, thorough, and knowledgeable. He gave us a very fair quote and stuck to it, and even threw in some extra services at no charge that made his end product even better. It's obvious him and his team take great pride in their work. We have nothing but good things to say. They accommodated our rushed timelines, kept us updated, had the job done earlier than expected, did a great job, and left the condo spotless after. Very, very professional. We would use them again and absolutely recommend them.

We hired Bert and his team to complete a bathroom renovation in our first home (a 1987 home in which the main upstairs bath had not been touched since it was built). As brand new first-time homeowners, we were nervous about investing in such a substantial renovation. However, Cando had been recommended to us by a family member who had used them for many projects and we had seen the quality of their work firsthand and felt comfortable. Bert and I spoke about my vision for the bathroom and he quoted a very fair price on the job and allowed me to choose the materials & products that I wanted (and even provided suggestions that would help me save on both materials and labour). His team was extremely friendly, professional, and tidy while they were in my home. When demolition revealed problems inside the walls that we were unaware of, he took photos of the issue, thoroughly explained what needed to be done and kept additional costs as minimal as possible. Being on a very tight budget, we really appreciated his extra consideration on this matter. They also left our home very clean when they finished the work--a minor detail to some but in my opinion, says a lot about professionalism. The renovation was completed on time, within our tight budget, and was very well done right down to the details. About a month later, every time I walk into our new bathroom I am SO happy--you know "that" feeling.
