Sumit Dayal in the last week We called Plumbing Paramedics because of the great reviews but this was a very disappointing experience. The plumber who arrived advised us that the nature of the job was difficult and gave us a quote of $1100. Shocked at the price, he offered a discount and waived the dispatch fee to bring it down to $863. He said the work was difficult because he needed to cut the pipe from the wall to repair the leak. We agreed and trusted him about the severity of the work. Two hours later he was done and ready to go. I was at work so my wife paid him. At home, I was disappointed to see that he didn't do the work as explain to us. He didn't cut the pipe so one would assume the work was easier than initially expected. The cost however did not change. Two hours and less then $50 of material meant that they charged us $400 / hour. I understand it was piece work and not on time and material. I feel that they overestimated the severity and used fear and the fact they were there to do the work on short notice as the plumber's advantage for us to agree to the $863. This wasn't a good experience. All we wanted was to be treated fairly and we felt taken advantage of. I wouldn't recommend this company.

Approximate cost of services:
$863.00

Company Response

Mr. Dayal, We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our fees. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our customers are presented with a quote for work before the work is done. In this manner the customer has the ability to decide if the work should proceed. If you have any concerns about the actual work that was completed or if the actual repair failed, we will dispatch a technician to review the work. We value every one of our customers and are sorry that we could not make you happy based on pricing. If you would like to discuss your experience further, we welcome your call. Thank you - Lauri, 403-452-2911
