I had Aire One on Dupont St. do a tune up on my furnace and I bought a warranty for 1 yr. parts and labour.Recently we had no heat, so we checked and found that there was no flame in the furnace. A few years ago we had problems with the flame sensor and the service technician from the company we were with at that time, gave us a few extra sensors. So we replaced it, but the furnace still did not ignite. We then put the old sensor back in. When Aire One's technician came, we told him about the sensor. He discovered that the ignitor was the problem and he replaced it. He then presented me with a bill for $160. I told him that I have a warranty and he said I had voided the warranty and that I had damaged the ignitor (even though the ignitor and the flame sensor are on opposite sides of the furnace). He then removed the ignitor and told me to go elsewhere. I finally agreed to pay and he reinstalled the igniitor. I spoke to several people( service manager included) and they supported the technician's claim. I would not recommend ever using this company. They obviously do not honour their warranty and the invoice for warranty service does not state that the customer cannot touch the furnace. Save yourself a headache and just don't deal with this company.

Approximate cost of services:
$160.00
