I was extremely pleased with the quality of service provided by Denca. My wife and I moved into a new house, and Denca had installed the kitchen for the previous owners. When we moved into the house, we noticed a few nicks on the cabinets and some minor issues with the appliances. We also wanted to add a soap dispenser by the sink. I contacted Denca and they immediately got on top of addressing the issues. The lines of communication were always open, and Denca made sure that every item was taken care of. They had to make multiple trips just to get things right, and not once did they complain or raise any issues with my "pickiness". Based on the level of service we received, and the quality of cabinets, I will definitely reach out to Denca for my future cabinetry needs. This is hands down the best cabinetry company in Calgary!

I am writing a second review for Moe, since he saved the day for me! I had some downspout issues, which Moe was happy to fix. But more importantly, I have had a woodpecker issue at my house where the woodpeckers have been pecking away at my stucco. I purchased some deterrents, but I didn't have a tall ladder to install them. I called Moe, and he quickly came out to my house to help me put them up (in addition to the work on my downspouts). In fact, after the first visit, the deterrents fell off, so Moe came a second time to help me out. He is truly a kind-hearted person that takes joy in helping people out. I couldn't be happier with Moe's service. He even agreed to stop by at some point when he is in the neighbourhood to look at possible leakage where the screw holes are on my downspouts. I HIGHLY recommend Moe!

Moe did a great job installing a leaf guard on my gutter. I have a huge birch tree at the front of my house, and I occasionally get leaves backing it up. I also thought there could be a slope issue. I called a few places, including Moe at The Gutter Patrol, and I got the best vibe from him. He was professional and prompt. When Moe came out he gave me some options, and what was great is that he did not oversell -- he was very honest with me. He cleaned my gutter, checked the slope (noting that everything is fine) and then did a very clean and meticulous job of installing the leaf guard. I was very pleased, and so I will definitely use Moe again in the future if I run into gutter issues or if I want additional guards installed. His prices are also reasonable, and he knows other tradespeople for other projects that he can recommend. Overall, I would highly recommend The Gutter Patrol!

Justin Menzies at Divine Design Outdoor Lighting did a fantastic job with my landscape lighting! To put this review in context, I am an extremely picky and meticulous person, to the point where I often drive tradespeople crazy! I am a constant micro manager and I watch over everything. I had my landscaping done in the Spring, and I knew that lighting would be an important part of making the landscaping and my house pop. I called a few places based on some Google searches, and I came across Justin at Divine Design Outdoor Lighting. He was very friendly over the phone and he was able to come out to my house to review the scope of the project and to give me a basic design idea before the landscaping had begun. He came up with some really cool design ideas -- for example, lighting on my backyard fence posts, lighting embedded in a huge weeping birch tree at the front of my house. He gave me a range for pricing at that point, one on the lower end (if we went basic) and one on the higher end (if we went all out). He also mentioned that he wanted to come back and review the design when all the trees were planted, which would give us a better idea of how things would look. I had a good vibe, and so I decided to hire him. Justin was great because he then coordinated with my landscapers to ensure any necessary prep work to hide wires, etc. was done ahead of time. Justin came back after the landscaping was finished, and we finalized our design and he installed all of the lighting. He did such clean work -- he hid wires when it seemed nearly impossible, and left everything as if nobody had even been there. This was important, because I am super picky and I am obsessed with a clean look. He even got up into my big birch tree to install the lighting. After everything was installed, Justin came out at night (fairly late this time of the year, which shows his dedication) to see how the lighting looks at night. He made some tweaks, and then came back the next day to make some further tweaks, and again came out at night again to make sure things looked perfect. Justin takes such pride in his work and to make things perfect, which I really appreciate. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Divine Design Outdoor Lighting! You won't be disappointed.

Doug did a fantastic job painting my house! To give some background, my house was within a year old and under my home warranty there were some cracks and nail pops in some walls and the ceiling due to the house settling. The builder is required to fix these issues and bring them to paint-ready under the home warranty. So, I needed a painter to paint over these spots. I called several painters with great reviews on HomeStars, and all (except for Doug) said that the entire ceiling had to be re-painted on the main floor, and entire sections of the the ceiling had to be re-painted in the basement and top floor because they said it's too hard to blend the paint. They also said entire walls had to be re-painted even though the spots requiring paint were only a couple of inches in size. Doug was the only painter that said he can touch up only the spots. In addition, the first day he came out to give me the quote, he did a spot test with existing paint the builders had left behind to see how it would blend. It worked, and the price Doug gave me was therefore a fraction of what the other painters wanted to charge me. This showed me how honest Doug is. I gave Doug the job and he fit me into his busy schedule when he could. In the end, he did an outstanding job! The touch-ups are seamless, and if there were any spots that I noticed required extra touching up, he was happy to oblige (which is saying a lot because I am SUPER picky, as Doug learnt about me!). The best part is it cost me a fraction of what I would have had to pay if I went with the other painters. The fact that Doug was able to seamlessly blend in the paint shows to me what a skilled painter he is. He treats it like an art, which is why he didn't need to re-paint entire walls and ceilings like the other painters. And, his prices are very competitive. I will definitely be calling up Doug again with any future paint jobs that I need done. I already know that I will be calling Doug to paint my garage in the Fall or next Spring.
