I was very disappointed with the paint job done by Respect Painting. I hired Zoran and his brother to paint some trim work in the interior of my house. The job was going fine until it came to doing the spindles on the staircase. We agreed in the quote that the spindles would be primed first then painted. Since the spindles are previously painted in a oil gloss paint the primer is necessary. Zoran said to me that the primer was absolutely not necessary and that he just completed a similar job without primer. He was so adamant so l trusted him. He said to wait a month to check to see that there is no peeling. A few days later l checked the hand railing he primed and painted. It was fine and correctly on the surface. The spindles not painted with primer peeled off easily. When I confronted him he asked for payment and dropped the job. He was completely unprofessional cutting back a few hours of work for the same quote. Benjamin More Paints and Dulux Paints both confirmed primer is absolutely necessary when painting on oil paint surface with latex paint. I spent the week removing this paint. Zorans Respect Paint is very unprofessional giving false information. was so adamant that I trusted him. He said to wait a month to check to see that there is no peeling. Zoran's Respect Paint is very unprofessional giving me the wrong paint advice, causing me hours of paint stripping.

I hired Pinoy Tiles this fall to complete a 2 bathroom renovation strictly on the basis of the 97% rating on Homestars and their availability. The first disappointment was the installation of the floor tiles in our main bathroom. A premium price was charged for the work so I was surprised. The entrance tile protruded upwards, the grout work was uneven, especially noticeable with narrow to wide grout line along the bathroom cabinet. The shower tile install was even worse. The corner tiles were misaligned, chipped tiles were installed, tiles were installed crookedly and the grout lines very uneven, from thin to thick. I stopped the work from progressing further to my other bathroom. The work was so bad I had to tear it down, purchase new tiles for the shower and look for a new contractor. The wallboard and waterproofing had to be redone due to damage when tearing out the work done. This was extremely stressful and much added cost to my renovation, not to mention the time lost. I could not afford to tear out the floor tiles. Now I will have to be reminded of poor tile work. The extremely poor quality work lacked skill and was done in a quick and careless manner. A home owner saves up for years to afford a major renovation that has to last for years and they deserve the best workmanship when paying a premium price.

Company Response

Hi Terry, thank you for taking the time to write this review. I value your feedback even this is negative. As a way to improve the outstanding service to customer.
Please accept my apologized that the bathroom tile grouting is not good as you anticipated. Hard for me to install a ceramic tiles which is uneven and used black color of grout plus using 1/16 grout spacer as per suggested. I gave 2000 of your money even I lost the labour cost and materials for 15 days work on that job.
Thank you again for accepting my apologize.

Jon replaced the Poly-B piping in our home. He worked efficiently and did quality work. The pricing was very fair. Jon also went above and beyond fixing our water pressure and giving me professional plumbing advice.
