We built a new house with Augusta/NuVista three years ago. During the process we met with Maguires and upgraded quite a few things with Maguires that ended up being an extra $12k. We switched the entire main floor to tile, upgraded to epoxy grout, upgraded the tile, backsplashes, etc.
During the build they used the wrong tile in our master bath, main bath and laundry room (black instead of medium gray). After offering us a very small amount of money, which we refused to take, she then insulted our original selections and said that the black would look better. We asked for the correct tile to be installed and it was but it was very sloppily done. The schluter work has tons of gaps in it, none of the angles are even close to 90 degrees, there are large gaps between the tile and walls, etc.
On the main floor we had a ton of dirt mixed into our grout that looks horrible. The grout is also very uneven with areas of the grout actually flowing on top of the tile. One tile in the living room was chipped. When they replaced that one they chipped the next tile. When they replaced the newly chipped tile they ended up chipping ANOTHER tile. We eventually gave up on asking them to fix the tiles and now just live with the chip.
Three or four times we had to interrupt the installers as they attempted to use regular grout during a repair, when the rest of the grout is epoxy grout.
They sent over a manager or somebody who smelled strongly of alcohol, which was strange given that it was 8am. They made a lot of excuses and refused to fix everything that was difficult for them to fix.
Very disappointed in how everything happened and would not recommend them to an enemy.
