Getting roof work done is like a lot of other home services. The quality and the prices they quote are all over the place. I believe, especially in roofing (and furnaces), that there are many individuals who hope you aren’t getting other quotes, and that you will bite at a vastly inflated rate, and then go find a cheap roofing crew. Thanks to HomeStars, I got several quotes, the highest more than twice what I paid. Thanks again to HomeStars for connecting me with John from Sum.it Roofing. John is a total pro with the right equipment to do the job - like a flashing shaper/cutter in his large truck. Great work. Best value (I had slightly lower quotes that didn’t include as much, and weren’t from a total pro). Thanks John for a great job from an experienced, well-equipped roofer who isn’t a sales person, but a real, honest, hard-working roofer. Sum.it replaced a small flat roof (60 sq.ft.) and the surrounding flashing in Toronto in October, 2019

Erion gets my vote for the smartest roofer. My 40 sq. ft. flat verandah roof was leaking. Three other roofers assumed it was because the rubber membrane is getting old. Our highest quote was for $2,500. While the membrane will need to be replaced soon enough, the problem was with loose flashing nails that left a couple of gaps, and a couple of leaks. Erion climbed up, saw the real problem and fixed it with his caulking gun and some silicone in 5 minutes. He didn’t charge a thing, even after I tried to give him a small something for his help and his obvious expertise. Thank-you, Erion. I owe you one.

Direct Electric's owner, Ali, was perfect. From a quick initial response, to a quick arrival to fix the problem. He is knowledgeable, pleasant, and offers helpful advice. Price was fair for two visits and a double circuit breaker part. For any future electrical work, I would only call Ali. So thanks.

Unlike so many other contractors I got to quote, or tried to get to quote, Serge answers his phone and shows up on time. He does a good job for a good price, and is a nice guy. Take advantage of all the legwork I did to find such a great contractor.
