I believe it was my best decision to get my floors done with Floors With Elegance. These kind of project are always very stressful and starting it with nice and experienced group of people make it easy for you. They were my consultant on every decision that I wanted to make and with Blair and Bob experiences I was correcting my choices. They really care about their clients and always had time to listen to me and pass me their experiences. The quality of their work is excellent, they are working very clean, they covered all of the surrounding area and furniture, also cleaned and vacuum every where before they left everyday. They hired very polite and respectful team and I recommend them strongly.

Outstanding attitude, service, and work quality. It was so refreshing to find a company this professional and gracious. If you live in Calgary you know service from "the Trades" is very hit and miss. Even though MAK was as busy as any other contractor in the city they kept their schedule promises, contacted us by phone for updates and even showed up at 8:00 am Saturday morning to finish the cleanup so the house would be back to normal for the weekend. If you are looking for service, quality work and fair pricing you don't have to look any further.

We wanted to renovate all 3 of our bathrooms as well as patching some ceiling damage in 2 separate rooms. When Bonnie came out to estimate the job I knew I had found someone who wasn't into trying to intimidate me. (Which I had felt during 3 other estimate interviews). I knew I could work with her but needed to figure out if I could also work with Colin. He is like a young Mike Holmes. He does excellent work, as do all the people who work with and for him. Especially Richard. When a glitch happened (as it always will), Colin was there and I learned I could trust him to fix it. This was huge as I tend to be a perfectionist. I had finally found someone who had higher standards than I do and this meant that the stress level was much decreased for the Reno. The results of the work are great and Colin's suggestions along the way made them better than I would have imagined. Richard's willingness to go the extra mile so I would be pleased was a huge gift. When we needed light bulbs that would work with the dimmer on the light fixture Richard trialled different bulbs till we found some that worked. That meant extra trips to suppliers for him and it was great to not be the one trying to find a solution. All of the sub trades were excellent. The only frustration came as a result of communication gaps that I think occurred because the company is growing so fast. It was more an irritation than a problem as Colin continued to fix any problems and that simply reinforced our belief that we can really trust him and that is priceless! I know that any future renovations will be done by Colin!

After getting estimates from several businesses, I found a flyer from these guys in my mailbox and gave them a try. I was instantly impressed by the pair of fellows they sent out to look at my leaking roof, who gave me a no-nonsense run-down of costs. They also saw the government issue CADPAT jackets hanging in my front entryway and told me the owner sometimes gave discounts for military personnel. I was very impressed by that. The owner in fact came out to talk during the work. He was personable and never came off as a huckster - he has obviously been in the business for a while and spoke eloquently about the technical merits of the materials he was providing, why certain work was being done, etc. He was very candid about what I did or didn't need and I never felt like he was trying to sell me the most expensive materials or cheapest labour. The workers were all bonded and my yard was cleaned up afterward to my satisfaction. Nothing was damaged. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone else.

Hot water tank sprung a leak after a few years of service. I called FJ. We arranged for a new tank, which Jason brought over that afternoon. In the meantime, Glen drained the old tank and fixed the furnace, an older Coleman that had a fan switch problem. By around 5 pm everything was fixed and good to go. Next morning Jason came by with extra parts to finish off the water heater vent connection, which was included in the quoted price ($1595 for a 50 gal. Rheem). Total bill for everything including installing a control module on the furnace and GST was $2024.88, Very happy with the work and especially the prompt and competent service! Thanks guys!

I was redoing my entire front yard this past summer, but the landscaping guys did not seem to have ideas I liked about what to plant, and where. Fortunately, I found Courtney. Once she heard of my predicament, she was able to help me out on extremely short notice, and gave me excellent tips on trees, shrubs, and annuals to pick. I was very impressed with Courtney's extensive knowledge of gardening, and highly developed "eye" for what looks good, and where. My yard looks great, and it is largely due to Courtney's expertise! I will definitely be hiring Courtney again once spring rolls around! Highly recommended.
