We had an alarm system put into our home a few years ago because my husband travelled a lot. The sales rep, Dean, explained it all very well and made suggestions as to what we should have. We also got a smoke detector from them. The installation was very good even though there were many problems because of where our home wiring and phone 'stuff' was but they worked through it. All is good and we are happy.
Moving from Burlington to Hamilton
The owner of Burlington Movers came to our townhouse to give us a price to move. He looked at everything we had, inside and out, and gave us a price - GUARANTEED THAT IF THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP ON TIME, OUR MOVE WOULD BE FREE. They were about 45 minutes late, couldn't start because they didn't bring a truck big enough. When the owner came to see why, he said that I didn't show him everything that was moving so it wasn't their fault. When I mentioned to the owner about their guarantee, they loaded up the trucks with all our furniture and then they refused to unload it until we paid him in CASH up front! This was quite a few years ago but I've been waiting for a forum to tell this story so people will be aware!
Replacing faucets, fixing a leak in the basement
We had to replace the faucets in the bathroom and after trying ourselves (should be a simple thing) we realized that it couldn't be done due to the construction of the bathroom. We called Hoyle Plumbing and even they didn't think it could be done but they did it and we were thrilled. We also had a leak in the basement and they fixed that as well. They did a great job (Father & Son team). We called - they came! We didn't have to wait a week and they came when they said they would. They were very nice and did a very good job. I highly recommend them, and I did - to my friends who called him in to relocate their washer/dryer. They were also very happy with his work.
