I have been into Grant's Tile a number of times looking for tile for various projects, most recently a bathroom floor. They have a great selection and I have always found them very helpful, even when you're just starting to look. Great customer service.
The staff in the RONA paint department were very helpful recently when I was preparing to paint my basement - a fair amount of paint and work. They alerted me to an upcoming "Buy two, get one free" special that was starting that weekend and helped me determine the right paint for the job.
Changing some wiring in basement
I have very good things to say about Gerald and Wisdom Electric. Gerald was a very pleasant guy to deal with and the work was fast, clean and thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and neighbours.
I found the flooring department very helpful on my last trip into Home Depot - the guy on the floor (I wish that I could remember his name) was patient and helpful - seemed to really know his stuff and wasn't afraid to give the good, the bad and the ugly of the different options.
