Had front corners of eavestrough caulked October 2012. Called November 11, 2015 to repair again since were never fixed properly. I knew that there would be no warranty and I needed the work to be done. Traced several times but no reply so emailed to say I will give negative feedback on Homestars if no answer and received a call within 10 minutes! I was told that it was not possible to repair the corners and that I would have to replace ALL of my eavestrough since it's all the same level on the house. It was repaired before but can't be done now?! Many companies on the internet provide this service and also show how to repair. I even asked them to repair now and I would consider all new eavestrough in the spring. I did ask for a quote but needless to say I still have not received and no longer wish to receive.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologize that it took so long for us to respond to your request.
All the information was immediately forwarded to our estimators for a quote, however it is the busiest time of the year and we are receiving an overwhelming number of calls for repair quotes before the winter.
Our office staff have guidelines to follow when scheduling an estimator to go to a customer’s home and provide a quote. It was unfair of you to attempt to intimidate our office staff by claiming in an email that if you did not get an immediate response you would write a negative review towards our company. It was mere coincidence that the estimator contacted you when he did as these are two separate departments.

In 2012 we completed the quoted work and performed all outlined tasks to aid in the functionality of your eavestrough. You were advised at that point in time that you required new eavestrough installation and this would only be a quick fix. Stating that we did not do our job properly is incorrect.
We as a company rectified the issues quoted and we feel that replacement of eavestrough is required rather than merely another repair as you discussed with the estimator on Nov 24,2015 .
We did not provide you a quote because you did not like our recommendations. Any quote we provide is accompanied by our warranty agreement which in this case we cannot stand by. This is why although we have fixed this problem once before it is against our better judgment to fix it again. This was properly explained in 2012.

We strongly stand by our laborers and the materials we use to complete any job. We would rather be a company that denies business we cannot guarantee then one who accepts a job without the intent of completing it to the best of our ability.

Called Max on October 22nd and he arranged an appointment for the next day at 11:00 AM. He arrived on time and fixed the problem. It seems the sensor (?) was dirty and had to be cleaned. He also installed a metal shield to protect the pilot flame from excessive air movement. He was very professional, courteous and answered all the questions I asked him, particularly why do these fireplaces still function during a power outage. His pricing was very reasonable compared to other companies I checked. I would certainly recommend him
