The owner Sohail was excellent when he quoted. He gave me lots of details and good guarantees. The painters were mostly very good but there were some challenges. They pushed hard to complete the job in one day which was inconvenient because they rushed and missed many small details. If they had simply worked a normal day and come back the next day, I feel they would have done a much better overall job. For example as they were preparing to leave, I noticed they never painted the inch below a low-sitting cold air register, and then I noticed they missed the same space below the other register as well. They were simply in too much hurry. They never plugged any holes in the walls (which was promised to me) and they didn't do a good job finishing the final details, including rushing me when I was trying to inspect their work (at 7pm, when everyone was hungry and annoyed). They also uninstalled some wiring that fell inside a bulkhead and can't be retrieved without cutting and refinishing drywall, so we can't use those speakers anymore. They argued with me that it never happened and they never apologized, although eventually the painter blamed the apprentice/assistant. They rushed the final clean up requiring me to clean again after they departed. They never properly sanded and prepped a door frame even though it was specified in the job and they sanded another (specially spackled) area without discussing it with me first. This left a very obvious wear mark in the finish that now shows a worn line through the paint. If they had simply worked two days as originally promised, I think a lot of these problems could have been avoided.
