Our house is for sale and our dishwasher wasn't working so we bought a new one from Matus. I am a senior citizen and needed delivery and installation. The delivery went fine but the third party Matus sent to us was rude, unprofessional, and in my opinion unqualified. The man chipped away at our tiled floors, chipped our countertop and left a gap between the counter and new dishwasher. We took our pictures to Matus the same day. Instead of letting us know they would take care of us they kicked us back to AZ Plumbing which we didn't hire they did. The owner even acknowledged they had issues with the same company previously. Why on earth would you continue to use a business you know gets negative feedback from??!! We had to follow up with the plumbing company and when they weren't remorseful for the damage they called we had to have a male friend contact Matus and threaten a lawsuit then they were willing to take responsibility for the damage they were liable. They really failed to understand that even if the customer service in the store was half-decent, the people the send out also reflect on their business. They were helpful once they realized we weren't going away. They assured us that everything would be taken care of. Six weeks later our floor was professionally finished and the counter tops were originally mis-measured and delayed but have been installed. AZ Plumbing didn't like a negative account of our experience so is refusing to re-install our sinks therefore leaving us in the lurch. I regret ever buying this dishwasher in the first place.

What could this company do to improve their services?
They should re-evaluate the companies they trust to deal with their customers. They should have sent their own people to our home immediately vs ever having us deal with the company they hired.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Research available options!! Ask who is the business that is being contracted out. Shop elsewhere.

I live in a older house and hired Blue Crest Electric. The quote for the job was very accurate and fair. Doug, Larry, Chris and the other guys who did the work for us were always extremely polite, respectful and professional. They always wore boot covers indoors without being asked. We expected them to take over the house and they did room by room in a way to cause us the least disruption to our daily lives. Often unnecessary apologized for any inconvenience they were causing and would ask to enter or work in a room we were sitting in. At the end of the day they would clean up after themselves and do their best to leave the space in the manner they found it. They were with us for approximately two weeks, at the end of each day they would explain what was done and would inform us if certain lights or plugs wouldn't work. Our house was never left in an unsafe manner. After the job was done the office called to do a quality check and we had a minor issue with flipping the breaker switch and someone came the same day at no cost to check on it. The issue was I was trying to flip it too timidly. I was never made to look silly and the man was very patient. We received another service call which I just felt was great customer service. I highly recommend using Blue Crest. I hope that I never need an electrician again but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Company Response

Thank you for your great review Donna. Rewiring an entire home is a big job and, when done while the home is occupied, can be somewhat disruptive to the household. Our goal is to make it as easy on the occupants as possible. Ensuring that power is restored to essential areas of the home at the end of each work day means the least amount of inconvenience possible during the renovation period. With a new electrical panel and the old Knob & Tube wiring replaced with copper, you certainly have reason to feel much safer in your home.
