At General Paints we found the staff not as knowledgable as they are at other competitors. One staff produced the wrong color for us and then told us we had to purchase it anyway. Of course, we refused since it was not our error. Staff at General paints are not necessarily trained in interior design and are not as helpful with color choices.

Benjamin Moore's designers are the best in assisting with color selection. One can either bring in their granite, cabinet, flooring samples to Benjamin Moore directly to get help with color selection in store for no charge or have a designer come to his or her home to help choose colors for a small charge which is very fair.
