I booked a handyman for the installation of the drain of a new bathroom sink that I had purchased. The sink was designed and manufactured in Europe so the drain wasn't the same size as the outgoing drain line in my bathroom. An adapter was required and I didn't want to tackle the job myself. Handyman Connection was able to have someone there within a couple of days of me calling, which was good because I wanted it completed ASAP (although it was not an emergency). He showed up ready to do the work as soon as I approved the cost, and the job was done less than an hour after he arrived. All around, I had a great experience with Handyman Connection. The only reason I deducted a point was because the price was a bit higher than I assumed it might be. I was mostly ok with it though, because of the quick response and fast work.

We recently purchased a house that was in need of new roofing. We got multiple quotes, but decided to go with United because of the quality of materials they use and the many other good reviews they got on Homestars.com. Dave was great to deal with, and answered all my questions. The crew showed up early on the agreed date, and to our surprise, the job was finished when we got home from work that day. On Dave's follow-up, he even helped us fix a crooked chimney/flue that we were worried we might have to call a heating expert for. He even gave me sensible advice on how I can cheaply increase ventilation in my attic. Thanks for crawling into that dusty attic, Dave, and great job United Roofing!

New Image Flooring were great to deal with. Although we only had a small installation to do (one living room), we were treated like a customer who would be spending much more money. We really liked the low pressure approach, as opposed to pushy salesmen that we experienced at a couple of other places. Marek was very helpful and accommodating, and they were able to fit us in on a rush installation (only 2 days after ordering!). We will likely be doing a couple of other flooring jobs in our house in the future as our renovations continue, and New Image Flooring will be our go-to for those as well.

We recently purchased a house that was built in 1956. The inspector that we used told us that we should consider upgrading the electrical, as there were a couple of serious issues that should be addressed (required a main breaker, move the electrical mast away from the deck, etc.). He told us that Robart specializes in such upgrades, so we gave them a call. Rob showed up, and was very professional. He examined the situation thoroughly and made sensible recommendations. I did have to remind him to email the quote to me, but I will forgive that because mistakes happen and that was a minor one. We felt the quote was very reasonable and since they were specifically recommended by our inspector (who we trusted - shout out to Chris B. at Alberta Property Inspection, he's great!), we accepted the quote with no issues. The crew showed up on the date and time agreed, and got the work done in a shorter amount of time than I thought it would take. They had to cut unexpected extra holes in a couple of the walls to fish some lines through, but I understood because sometimes with older houses you don't know what you're getting into until you're in it. They were even understanding about breaking up my payments into 2 chunks, because of fund transfer limitations on my bank account. Robart did great work, fast, with reasonable rates. I would not hesitate to recommend them, or have them back in my home for more electrical work if needed. **Edited Sept. 1 to change title of review.
