In the beginning, Avi was very prompt responding to e-mails and was punctual when arriving at my place to give estimates, the actual price and making of the contract. It all started to change, the day when the fence was to go up, his worker was an hour and a half late. It would have been courteous of Avi or his worker to call to tell me that they were being late instead of me having to call and find out what was happening. I did mention this on an e-mail to Avi and he did state he would call next time. Also, when putting up one of the end posts, the worker just sawed off the old post instead of removing it entirely. He then proceeded to drive the new metal post into the old base with much difficulty. As a result, the metal post was not driven into the soil the full customary 4 feet and the extra 18 inches above ground were simply cut off. The vinyl fence once put up looked fine on my side. However, since I had paid for the entire fence because my neighbour had refused to contribute, I checked out the neighbour's side (where their gate door attached to my fence post ). I found out the moulding holding the fence panel was not properly attached to the end post and one panel had become partly detached. When I told Avi, he wanted a picture. I sent him one, as if he did not believe me. He responded that all it needed was a screw. As it turned out, about 10 screws were used to patch up the problem. I asked him to come at least twice. The first time he did not respond to my e-mail. The second time he did, but Avi did not show up until 2 weeks later. Avi stated that he would come on a Friday but he did not. As a result, I wasted a day waiting. Avi eventually responded to me a day later (Saturday) stating why he had been a no show on Friday. I was not pleased because he did state, as mentioned above, if he or his workers were to be late or no show, Avi would call and let the client know. Obviously, he showed little commitment to his promise. He finally did show up on the Sunday, unannounced (not even knocking at the door to let me know he was present), and attempted to resolve the matter of the end panel that was detached from the end post consisting of a vinyl sleeve over a wooden post. Also, worth mentioning, it took him a while to send me the receipt for the payment of the fence, but eventually I did receive it. Overall, I would say that the work done was satisfactory to an extent, but organization, timeliness and consistent communication were lacking.
