We hired Paul at the Renovators Group to renovate our bathroom and was very disappointed. One week after renovation, the grout started to discolor. They had to come back and remove tiles and reinstall. Through this process, it was discovered that all old tiles were not removed as per scope (part of the problem) and the wall was not leveled as required. Paul was not too happy to come back to and fix the job. Sent someone else in to repair what was not done correctly in the first place. Totally disappointed in the work and the dishonest manner in which Paul did our renovation.

Company Response

I appeciate your feedback Joanne. As I told you in your condominium - the back wall of the bathtub is directly on a concrete slab wall which runs straight down your condominium. I thought it would be best not to remove the tiles installed directly over concrete, so we strapped the wall, added new Densheild (water proof backer board) and tiled over that. When you called me to advise that the grout was not uniform in colour, I sent one of my employees to address the issue. I also deducted $200 from the final payment to compensate for the tiles which were not removed over the concrete wall. This was not done to cut corners, it was done because in our business, we cannot see what is behind closed walls. When we discovered the original tiles were installed directly over concrete, I made the decision to do what we did.
