Mark Goddard is an fantastic home inspector. His reports are detailed and extremely helpful. He inspected our home before we bought it; it is a quirky 100 year old house and while it has many issues, three years in there has not been a single problem that he did not identify or predict. In fact, the sellers had provided a pre-sale inspection on the home; Mark identified several issues which their inspector had missed. Mark's report has basically been a guide for us as we proceed with various necessary renovations. We recently asked him to come back for a review of an emerging water situation in our basement; he gave us advice which various waterproofing companies had totally overlooked. We would absolutely recommend him to others -- you will not be disappointed! We know we will be calling him when it comes time for our next home.

Arby Cartage moved us in Sept 2009 into our first home. This was the first time we'd hired movers, having always just had our friends helping out -- and we were worried about getting ripped off. We found them to be totally professional, punctual, and helpful, and the crew made our move not just painless, but actually fun. The move was completed quickly, and we found their estimate to be both accurate and reasonable. We felt like they took our fairly small job seriously. We found them through Homestars, and it seems like all these good reviews are speaking the truth!

Superior Air Duct Cleaning were great to deal with over the phone. They showed up on time, completed the cleaning, and walked us through our HVAC system in our new home. They were thorough and efficient.

We hired Contex to remove old insulbrick siding from our home and replace it with vinyl siding. Peter from Contex gave us a reasonable quote, was reasonably easy to contact, and the work was done on time. The only snag was due to an error on the company's part in ordering supplies: the crew was given less insulation than we had asked for, and when they realized the error, they had to remove siding they'd already installed, pick up and install more insulation, and then put the siding back up. Despite this, the installers completed the work professionally and on time. Oscar and his crew were amazing -- friendly, diligent, and dealt with all this in stride. It seemed like they really took pride in their work. Update: we hired Contex again this year to replace our shingles, and our attached neighbour hired them as well. We were again pleased that the work was done as specified, efficiently and on time, and when we had a problem with some mismatched shingles, our concerns were taken seriously, and the error was corrected within a week.
