We've had the greenest lawn on the street for the past 3 years thanks to Lawnmart. With over an acre and numerous flower beds to navigate Lawnmart's team has been on top of my weeds and dry sandy soil. Having a dog and young child, I feel good that they are using safe products on the lawn. Michael, the owner is incredibly service oriented and helpful (e.g. fixing mole holes, letting me when when to adjust the watering schedule etc). This attitude carries through the entire team including Jennifer in the office and Ian on the road. I also like that I can call the office and pay with my VISA - no cheques to deal with! And I appreciate that they don't push services on you that you don't need. For example, I emailed Michael about fertilizing all my trees and shrubs. He advised me that only certain shrubs needed it and that I could save money but not doing them all. I've relied on Homestars and the reviews that homeowners post to hire several service providers over the past few years ( e.g. floor cleaners, carpet cleaning, window company, waterproofing). I've yet to be disappointed and will continue to leverage this site. I hope my review here helps someone else find the right company for their needs!

Very impressed by Igal. He showed upon time, recommended how high to hang our art and was done in 20 mins. And best of all, our artwork looks amazing. Well worth having this done by a professional like Igal.

In Feb 2015 we had almost all the windows in our house replaced along with 3 patio doors. We also had some siding replaced near the windows. We choose this company as they sold Northstar windows, which I knew from research was the brand I wanted. Steve quoted the job in an efficient manner and was not pushy at all. About a month after we signed our contract, I changed my mind on one of the windows and wanted to make it a 2 panel vs 3 panel. Steve was very flexible and got the change made for me without a second of hesitation. It was a huge, complicated job, taking 3-4 days in the dead cold of winter. The crew was quick, polite and didn't complain a bit about working outside in -20 weather. I felt horrible for them. We are satisfied with the job and love the windows/sliders. We had a minor issue with a bit of the siding outside. I called Steve and he got it taken care of very quickly. It's now been over a year and we haven't had any issues. I would recommend them to family and in fact I'm currently in the process of getting them to quote me on 2 new side doors.

After a small re-occurring leak in my basement coming from the corner of the house got progressively worse with the recent easter rainstorms, I called in a downspout company, thinking we needed to disconnect our downspouts. They came out, recommended we disconnect all the downspouts and waterproof a 4ft section of the house where the leak was coming in. The quote was for $6000+tax. Being scared by the cost, we decided to get a waterproofing expert in for a second opinion. I choose Canada Waterproofers based on their homestar reviews, which I read in detail. I was also impressed that I was able to book my appointment via on-line chat for the following weekend. Slava, from Canada Waterproofers, called me the day of to confirm he was coming and arrived on time as expected. When he arrived he put on little blue shoe covers to keep the floors clean. Then he got right to work and inspected the basement, inside and out, tested out sewage pump (which we previously thought was a sump pump), and then inspected the leak area using a tool to test the temperature. Slava then suggested we test the area outside with a garden house to determine where leak was coming from. We have an aged outside door that he hypothesized might be the source of the leak and not the concrete. He stayed for almost an hour and we thoroughly watered the area. Sure enough, the water is coming from the door and not the foundation wall. He suggested we seal up or replace the door as a first step as he felt that would solve our leak issues. He then recommended considering the waterproofing option only if the leak came back. I was surprised and relieved. Addressing the door will be considerably cheaper and I appreciated his honesty in solving the issue, despite the fact it means we are not hiring his company at this time. I offered to pay him for his time which he declined. Both my husband and I are grateful and would have them back to waterproof if the time comes that we need it.

This is my second time using Green & Spotless. The first time I had them clean my ducts and restore my shower caulking (after 2 separate companies failed to do it right). Today I had them back to do a deep cleaning of my hardwood floors and clean+ seal my travertine tile & grout. I also had a shag area rug I wanted cleaned and I was amazed by their new machine which collected all kinds of hidden items including 2 screws buried in the carpet pile. Thank you so much for the great work guys. You were very professional, courteous, on time and delivered quality work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you and will have you back again!

After being skeptical on who to hire for a laundry list of masonry repairs, we choose A&A based on their reviews. The reviews did not mislead and we too are very pleased with the work. The crew, lead by Reinaldo, showed up on time, got the work done fast and left everything clean and tidy. And the repairs look great - right down to the perfect caulking Reinaldo installed using tape to get a perfect clean line. Special thanks to both Andy and Reinaldo who were helpful and patient with me as I asked a lot of questions before and during the process. Thanks Guys!
