I have to say I'm really surprised about the high reviews Dave has received. He quoted me 2000 dollars for two days work, which I accepted. He got to work immediately, and 3 hours later he's packing up and expecting 1000 dollars, which I gave to him - but that is a deceiving way to do business, and I felt ripped off. Needless to say, I didn't call him back to complete the second 'full days' work. Turns out I did have to call him back, as the outlet for the hood fan he wired up wasn't working. He was defensive, and insisted it was working when he left - which might very well be true. Turns out his wiring came loose, and still wouldn't own up to it. So yeah, never again.

Unfortunately in this case the homeowner was trying to do a renovation on the cheap at his rental property ( that's why there was no second day of work) and in doing so apparently tried to do some of the electrical himself after I left...calls me back a year later saying the hood fan he installed had no power. I check all devices before I leave a job every time and indeed the wire for the fan had power when I left. So all was good for almost a year ( this was done last August) .As a courtesy I went back to fix the issue he was having, and it was obviously a loose wire of his own doing. When I pointed out he had installed the fan improperly with no connector, had pinched the wire and seized the motor with spray foam he seemed to get a little defensive.....Clearly not a fair representation of the facts and in fact seemed to be quite happy with my services for the year after they were completed. I always make every attempt to do every job to the best of my ability but unfortunately some things are beyond my control.
