When my Kitchenaid fridge was leaking, Kitchenaid sent Oni to repair. Did a good job, very efficient, no problems, so I called again when it broke (new issue) a few weeks ago. Said they'd order the part. Waited a week, they called to say they had the wrong part and would get it. Never heard back again. I emailed, no reply. It's been over a month. I give up. By they way, while I'm ranting, I will never buy another Kitchenaid product. This very expensive fridge is a piece of garbage. Plastic pieces break off all the time, it leaked, and now the part to fix the latest problem (a computer chip) is over $300. Until I get it fixed, I can't adjust the temperature in the fridge or freezer. It's only 5 years old and has been falling apart from day 1.

This is the second time I've had Tyler clean out my very long dryer hose (second floor laundry room that vents out at the ground floor). I always worry about lint build up because of the long length of the pipe. He cleaned out a ton of lint, and also cleaned a huge amount of lint out of the dryer itself that the trap wasn't catching. Showed me that I needed a new lint trap. My air speed coming out of the vent went from 14 mph to 21, meaning my dryer will be more efficient. Very friendly and efficient. I sleep better knowing that a potential fire hazard has been avoided.

Scheduled a visit for last week but it rained so they rescheduled me for between 9 and 12 today. Beautiful weather. Yesterday confirmed they would come. No one showed up. I called at 2:00, nobody there to answer the phone or return email. Called the rep who booked the service, and he said he'd find the cleaners and call me back. No call back. So hoping they will get in touch with me soon, because I would like this work done, and from what I read they do good work and price seems quite good. Just disappointed so far. So eventually they came a few weeks later, after a story about their car breaking down and not having my correct phone number. A few weeks later, due to rain delays, they came, seemed to do a good job, but once they left i noticed my front windows were still dirty, and the gutter that I could see was also still dirty. Called the company about it, and also paid them, though I shouldn't have. Said they'd send someone out to look. A few weeks later nobody had come, so I asked again and they did send someone immediately. But, they said, as the earlier cleaners had said, the front windows had a calcium buildup that couldn't be cleaned. Really, I've never had such a problem before. The guy cleaned out one part of my gutter, but not the rest. I emailed again to say I really want the front window clean and the rest of the gutters, but no reply so far, and it's been a week. Note, they use sub-contractors, so maybe their other contractors are ok, but I wasn't so happy with Hometek. Though, to be fair, they did pull down a bird's nest that I pointed out after they had put their ladder away. That was above and beyond, so points for that. The two guys who came were quite pleasant as well. UPDATE Oct 31 - two guys just came by to fix my two issues. They scraped and cleaned the front window that wasn't cleaned well last time around...looks great now. And they cleaned out the gutters that were missed the first time around...took out a whole bunch of crap, and now I'm a satisfied customer (though I wish they had taken the bags of dirt away, now I have to get rid of them). I really appreciate the time the owner of the company took to call me and make sure I was satisfied. Small businesses like this make the effort to fix things that go wrong, and that is worth a lot in my books. Thanks for making it right!

Tyler from dryerventwizard.com came to inspect my dryer vent, and he showed me what needed to be done to make my dryer safer. He checked the air speed of the dryer, and cleaned the long duct I had leading to the outside, and changed the unsafe hose coming out of the back of my dryer, as well as installed a new vent outside with an animal-proof cover. Took pictures of the process throughout so I could see exactly what was in my vent before and after (it was quite scary!). My air speed went from 10.5mph to 20.5mph, so I know the duct is clean now. I was very impressed with his professionalism and the quality of his work. I really like that he was able to do the work the same day he came. I highly recommend dryerventwizard to anyone who wants to make sure their home is safe. Thanks again Tyler!

Do not use Stonelink...this product is a disaster! After five years it is badly stained from ice melters (that aren't supposed to stain), bits are chipping off, the mortar is popping out and the stairs are lifting off! It has also changed from a light pink to yellow colour. Stonelink said I should have sealed it. Nobody told me that when it was installed. They do not stand behind their product. I would never use this again! I will now have to pay at least $5000 to have it removed and redone with a proper natural stone. Very disappointing!
