I was looking for a contractor to install the range hood and ducting for 3 months. Most contractors gave me estimates but never came to work. Upon reading Angela's review (I do not know her), I took the chance and hire Bill. He consulted me on what he needed to do and installed the duct (truthfully, it wasn't an easy job as my kitchen ceiling is different) and range hood. Everything works well and the job quality is good. I am hiring him again to more work.

Don't believe his website. "Move your furniture"? NADA! I had to take out all the power covers for him. "You always know the price, before we start!" NO WAY!! At the end of the day, Kerry Jamie always estimates more after the initial estimates. Each day, he wants a cheque! He says he does double coat but it's really just one coat. The 2nd coat is just a streak of "M" across the wall. He uses hi-hide paint because it usually looks fine after one coat. He doesn't come on time and usually finishes in 4 hours. As the previous reviewers said, he paints over dents/marks. I only read the reviews here on the 3rd day of the paint project and it's happening exactly what the others say. At least, after reading this I told him to redo what needed to be done. He talks and talks about how busy/tired he is etc. Don't listen to him. One more day to go and I just want him to finish up fast and get rid of him.

Company Response

I, Kerry Williams of "Budget & Save Painters" have read the posted comments by YOGI and my reply is that they are completely exaggerated and unwarranted! Unfortunately, I had problems with this customer from the start and I will explain why; as follows:. Firstly, my company agreement forms are very defined on the scope of each project; and the terms of payments are outlined on page one(1)of the agreement form. The customer is to initial to the acceptance of the payment terms; and it is always discussed prior to any signatures. Usually; 2,3 installments are required depending on the size or amplitude of the project. This is standard in the industry, and this method has been followed for many years. Yogi reviewed the agreement; acknowledged it; and it was clearly dictated to the appropriatness of the objectives to be performed. Secondly, communication is very important throughout each project assigned, and this was a case where the customer (Yogi)became unreasonable and disagreeable shortly thereafter. All precedures were followed; and every effort was made to appease Yogi, but to no avail. Thirdly; Customers rarely get involved with the work to be performed, nor are payment terms ever altered or changed; and the suggestions made by Yogi; which she has posted on HOMESTARS are untrue and vindictive. Lastly, and in particular, Yogi breached the agreement; and every effort was made to try and resolve the matters at hand. My company has been established for many years, I hold professional ethics; and customer service remains to be the upmost importance.Sincerely, Kerry Williams.
