My husband and I just moved on Wednesday and picked Emerald Moving based off of their homestars reviews. They were fantastic. Booking them was simple, easy to answer their questions in terms of what they had to move and estimates were bang on. They confirmed prior to the move and upon their arrival, they were extremely pleasant, efficient and quick. Got the move done in super high heat and they never really took a break. We had the pleasure of having the business owner move us on our day and he was not only courteous but very friendly as well. All our furniture items were carefully wrapped in moving blankets and there were no damages done to any of our belongings. We felt very comfortable with them and would use them again (hopefully though we don't have to move for a while).

Funny enough, my husband had most of the involvement with the electricians but they did a bang up job with our home. Rewired not only the existing knob and tube in the home but also fixed some of the wiring that was done by the previous homeowner (a handy man special if you know what I mean). Upon the first meeting, my husband was very impressed with the options that Rob provided to us and he came recommended by another electrician that had come to our home to give us a quote. He was very flexible and open to discuss our options. The work was done efficiently, to code and they were done everything in just less than a week. He also took care of the permits required and we received our certificate for insurance with no problems. The pot lights and our fan are great and working very well. They always came to us with updates and explanations and you did not have to search for answers. The holes that were made for electrical were minimal which was fantastic.

My husband and I found asbestos after we removed part of a vent in our bedroom. It was wrapped around our two main air vents in our semi-detached home. We contacted several asbestos removal companies; many of whom suggested that the job wasn't "big enough" for them and another company in Burlington suggested we just "remove it yourself". A&O not only got back to us right away, but they came in a few days later and removed the asbestos. It took about two hours just to seal up the areas that they needed to get into. The men were protected completely along with being completely sealed within a plastic barrier. They completed the demolition to the dry wall and were very very clean about it (their cuts were accurate and did not complete any excess damage to the existing drywall that was outside of the venting area). They sprayed down the area after the asbestos removal in order to ensure any additional material was doused and rendered harmless. They were done in a day. Everything was nice and tidy by the time they left. They also provided a written quote (email).
