To say we are satisfied with the work done by Bluemax would be a major understatement! Samuel was quick to respond to our initial request for a quote and, in comparison to the other two we received, Bluemax was more detailed and just as reasonable in terms of cost for the type of project being done (we replaced the walkways on both sides of our house, the front porch, the wood-framed front garden and the backyard garden bed). Booking the job was really easy and Samuel and his crew (Mario & Alex) were a pleasure to work with and worked unbelievably hard throughout the project. They went above and beyond with amazing attention to detail and additional touches both large and small that added to the aesthetic and functional aspects of our new landscape. For example, the exact stone we wanted wasn't available so Samuel installed a superior quality version of the same style at no additional cost. We cannot recommend Bluemax strongly enough: the before and after photos speak for themselves! Thank you!

We've hired Ramon for snow plowing for 2 consecutive years and will continue doing so in the future. He always shows up, does a very thorough job every time and is readily available when you call him. Unlike other companies in my neighbourhood, Ramon does not need to advertise with lawn signs; instead, he has grown his business by doing a good job and generating positive word of mouth.

This is one of the most atrocious companies I have EVER dealt with. I saw IMI's Snow Removal signs all over my neighbourhood and decided to give them a try. "Imi" (Fahim) was quick to respond to our request for a quote and provided us with a signed contract that stipulated, among other things, that the driveway would be plowed when at least 2 inches of snow had accumulated and that this would normally be done before morning. We provided an initial payment for $150 and a second post-dated cheque for the remaining $150. Not ONCE during any of the dozen plus snowfalls in 2014-15 did IMI show up as stated in the contract. The driveway was often not plowed until the afternoon and, even when it was done, they did a poor job. Whenever I called Mr. Ibrahim to find out where the plows were, all I ever received was monotone voice messages stating that all driveways had been plowed (which was untrue!). When the situation got bad enough, I phone multiple times demanding my money back and also submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (and, in doing so, saw that several others had done the same thing). Imi seems to have complete contempt for his customers as my repeated messages and the complaints submitted to BBB were all ignored. I strongly advise anyone thinking of hiring IMI's Snow Removal to keep searching and to find an honest vendor.

We hired Ambia to install two double-pane casement windows, a patio door and a mud room door. The work was completed in a single day back in August and we have been very pleased with the results. After considering two other companies, we selected Ambia – not because they provided the lowest quote (their’s was in the middle) but because we felt the most confident about the quality of the products being installed, the reputed quality of the installation process and the warranty supporting them (lifetime for the 2 windows). Michael was quick to respond to our initial inquiries and came to do an onsite estimate within a few days. While the information he provided was, at times, very technical, he took a lot of time to explain the product and installation process as well as to answer all of our questions (including after we scheduled the work). Perhaps our only small complaint was that the windows and doors were supposed to be ready for installation between 6-8 weeks after ordering. However, we called to follow up once we hadn’t heard anything after 8 weeks. At that point, Ambia contacted the door manufacturer to inquire the reason for the delay, and things were put on track again. Eugene and his crew (one other person) did an amazing job installing the windows and doors. They showed up on time, worked efficiently and even stayed to repair inadvertent damage that occurred to the siding on our house during the installation. The cleanup was also impeccable and no debris was left behind. Tony even visited during the day to see if we were satisfied with the job so far and to let him know afterward if we had any concerns. We were extremely satisfied with the work Ambia did and would recommend them to anyone looking to install new windows or doors.
