Sarah answered all my many questions in detail during the intervening period. I knew exactly what would be done, when, and why. Yesterday that proposal came to fruition. Rob, the mason, is a master of his trade and a very entertaining conversationalist too. Ireland's loss is Canada's gain! He removed all damaged components, affected a careful replacement of flues and crowned these with more substantial and esthically appealing caps. He explained the extra steps he took beyond applying sealant to ensure the tight fit of the overall chimney cover. Finally, Rob's clean-up was meticulous. I was introduced to this Carleton Place ON company as a sub-contractor via the company that is installing a generator at my residence. The two young men who completed the gas line hook-up for the generator were a pleasure to have doing this work. I've used HomeStars for some time now and, more recently, have submitted reviews to their site. I find this business to be a useful option in as much as it furnishes an online business presence to entities reviewed there and a resume of clients' experiences with the service. I would add the caveat, however, that since so many businesses have only one or two reviews, one would be well advised not to be overly swayed these reviews, be they positive or negative. To offset this reservation, HomeStars does have a feature whereby one may opt to see reviews by top, that is frequent, reviewers. My other observation would be that I attribute less credibility to reviews from those who do not include their names. The name of the service being reviewed is posted. Should not reviewers similarly take ownership of what they submit? Within these parameters, and assuming that the individual pursues further due diligence on the business selected, I believe HomeStars reviews may provide a useful preliminary tool with which to identify reputable home service providers.

Last year I purchased six Rumidifier units from Manotick Home Hardware and, once again, they have functioned effectively in adding humidity to my home during the drier winter months. This is but one of a myriad of examples of products from which I've benefitted. It is my 'go to' location for all things hardware, in addition to small household appliances, home decorating products, lawn care and furniture... The list goes on! But, such is the nature of a hardware store. What causes me to applaud this one in particular? The service! Personnel are knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Whether longterm employees or students hired during the summer months, each unfailingly goes the extra mile to provide service with a smile, putting a smile on my face whenever I make a purchase there. In my experience over several decades, Manotick Home Hardware is a hardware with a difference: they care about their customers and the quality of their service reflects this value.

Over several years, I've purchased a wide range of electronics from Best Buy. For many reasons, I've found that it lives up to its name: the best place to buy! The selection is vast and the prices competative. But, beyond this, the service is knowledgeable, helpful and professional. The option of shopping online has, on occasion, saved me time. After surveying other retailers, I always find myself back at Best Buy for the best buys!

Millers have removed my driveway snow for several years now and I'm pleased to say that I am totally satisfied with their service. Because they consistently come very early after a snowfall, the driveway is always passable in the morning. The operators are very careful in how they maneuver in the driveway, avoiding any damage to nearby structures or lawn. They never fail to return for a second pass through should snow continue to fall. It is a pleasure to endorse this business.

Having used the Dymon facility at the Kanata Centrum location in Ottawa from February 2014 to January 2015, I can recommend their service highly. The personnel are professional, friendly and helpful in every respect. The facility itself is clean, bright and a pleasure to access. Should I require a storage option again in future, I would not consider going anywhere else. The cost is reasonable and the service is first class.

I retained the services of Maple Heights Tree Service in 2015 to remove a diseased Ash tree from my back yard. They are based in Brockville ON, but service eastern Ontario. In our initial discussion, after which I made a 565.00 pre-payment, the owner did not advise me that he would not be removing the resulting debris because they could not take diseased material out of the area. This had me paying him an extra 200.00 to have most of it placed in my side yard, as well as approximately 700.00 to a junk removal service to have wood and wood chips hauled off from both the side and back yard. I find it lacking in transparency not to have made this disclosure when I first contacted them, allowing me to make an informed decision about whether to employ them or to choose a more local provider in order to avoid dealing with this bother and additional costs. As a result of my experience, I cannot endorse this business.

The competent professionals at Done Right Renovations have completed a wide variety projects at my home, all of which deserve top rating. Renovating the ensuite bathroom was no exception. Work was completed on time and within budget, with careful attention to detail. Cory and his team consistently spare no effort to produce results that far exceed my expectations. In an industry riddled with stories of shoddy workmanship and worse, these are craftsmen who know what they're doing, do it right and stand behind their product. I recommend this business most highly and without reservation. Never would I consider dealing with any other contractor. Done Right Renovations is in a class by itself.
