Truck arrived 4.5 hours late, and already half filled with the possessions of another family. Discourse ensued, we were told "you have booked a consolidated move" which we had not. No other trailers were available and so we had to reschedule our pick up to the following day. Crew were promised to arrive between 8-9am. Actual arrival time was 11:30am, and truck loading was completed near 8pm. Original delivery day to our new home (out of province move) was 4 days later. We have now been in our new house with NONE of our possessions for TWELVE DAYS. Delivery was promised "between 8th-11th March", then "on or before 14th March". We still have NO idea where our trailer is (still in Ontario? somewhere in Nova Scotia? somewhere in between?) and NO promise of a delivery date. This is an absolute horror show of a moving company.

In October of 2013 we contacted five different arborist companies serving Durham Region regarding tree pruning and tree removal. Up & Down Tree Service was the first to reply, and provided a quote for services within a few hours of my initial inquiry. Upon choosing this company for our needs, we were offered multiple options for scheduling our tree services, with very little waiting time. On the first of 2 days of work, the 2-man team arrived on time and were very pleasant. There was a big job to do, and the gents got right to it. Extensive pruning work was completed on three very large maple trees, and the complete removal of an apple tree was also done. There was one small incident during the take-down of the apple tree, some latticework on our fence was damaged...but it was flawlessly repaired less than 24 hours later. Also, the apple tree was cut into fireplace logs for us, and neatly stacked for curing/drying in our backyard, at no extra cost to us. We will definitely contract with Up & Down Tree Service for our future needs, and confidently recommend their work and customer service !!

We have experienced several delays with Lifestyle, for the installation of 13 windows and a double-door entry system. Originally we had been promised installation of our products in "mid to late January". We are anticipating installation over the next 2 days, 2 months behind schedule. We have been advised by company representatives that the delays with our products were due to back-ordered parts for our doors. While we are happy to have finally reached the point of installation, we do wish that we had been "kept in the loop" about the status of our products, as opposed to having to make repeated inquiry calls to the company for answers. The lack of communication & updates from Lifestyle was a disappointment to us. Since communicating these areas of deficiency to company management, we have seen positive changes in the frequency of customer service calls, and we have been assured that procedures for contacting customers about their orders have been reviewed and reinforced with customer care personnel. We look forward to having our long awaited installations completed very soon.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Services could be vastly improved if the company would keep their installation promises...or in the event that delays occur, at least they could contact customers pre-emptively instead of making us chase them for answers.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
My recommendation: choose another company to buy products and services from.

We apologize again for the manufacturing delays that caused this problem. We didn't know just how big of an impact our move to our new facility would have on scheduling, in spite of our best efforts. As per our many telephone conversations, we thought we had made things right and made amends with the consolations we made for you, and that you were satisfied with the outcome. It's regretful we couldn't convert this unforeseeable delay into a more favourable experience and review with the reparations we made, however we are confident that our products will continue to bring you satisfaction for years to come.
