My wife and I had been talking to various contractors about our backyard dreams for a week or so, and we asked Trevor to come by and take a look. Right from the moment he set foot on the property he was professional, and made our concerns his priority. What impressed us most was his ability to listen to our check list of wants and apply them to practical solutions in the design, both from a cost perspective and a functionality point of view. Once the quote and design came in, Trevor and I discussed several options for the details and where best to spend the budget, and the entire time there was never a pressure to spend more or do what he thought might be best - he presented options with clear explanations and let us make the choices. When work started Trevor and his right hand man Alberto walked our whole family through the process and timeline of the job - what they were going to be doing and why - I can't stress how refreshing this was. The work itself is amazing. The thought and care to making sure no corners were cut in the process really speaks volumes to the type of company Little Landscapes is and the type of people Trevor and his staff are. Trevor showed up everyday on time, and if it was a rain day he'd email me and say we're not going to work today, but I'll be by to check drainage - that's a pro. Coming home every evening and seeing progress was so great, and anytime I had a question or a thought of changing a detail to something different, Trevor always took the time to talk with me about it, the impact it had on the project - budget, time and quality but was never negative about it. For the 14 days they were on our property it was a great experience - from the customer service, to the craftsmanship, to the personalities - everything about Little Landscapes is top shelf. We now sit in our backyard, let the kids play and to be honest it doesn't even feel like our place - it feel like we're on vacation. They became heroes to my toddler, who to this day, still asks if Trevor, Alberto and the Bobcat are coming to play in his backyard. Here is the breakdown of what Little Landscapes did. - regrade entire yard and parking pads - over 90 ft of private and secure fence line + gates (6x6 posts!) - demo deck and built new one - poured 8x8 concrete for shed - laid patio stones - sodded play area for kids - coping stones on basement stairwell - stroller ramp - electrical conduit - underground gas conduit

As you do, I gathered several quotes from siding and window contractors and Russ from Homecraft was easily the most likeable and trustworthy of the bunch. The pricing was dead on where it should be. Not to cheap that you question the workmanship, but not overly priced you feel like your getting ripped off - it was totally fair. Russ arrived for the estimate on time and asked all the right questions about what I was looking for, (insulation, window type, siding type, colour) without ever being pushing about the up sell on anything. He just has an honest vibe about him. After considering the 4 or 5 quotes we got, Russ and Homecraft got the green light, and I called to book the job. Russ came back to measure and finalize all the details within two days. We have a small baby at home so I had to time the work around his trip to Grama's house for the week. Russ was more than willing to adapt, and put the window on rush order, a small deposit and a handshake and we were booked for work for weeks later. At the end of the 4 weeks Russ called me and said the window was goign to be delayed but he's doing everything he can to put me on the top of the pile. Of course I was frustrated, but it wasn't his fault - life happens when dealing with suppliers - I appreciated the frankness and upfront manner Russ was dealing with it. A few days later, he called me again and said the window is in, and he and his crew would be there at 9am the next morning. Russ and his crew showed up, with a coffee for me no less, right on time and were great. They did a fantastic job, they were professional, cleaned up perfectly, and took pride in their work. the best part as Russ was there all day doing the work. My wife and I were really impressed with that part of the service. You rarely see that kind of care anymore, the owner of the company doing the work and enjoying it. I'm planning on having Russ and the crew back later this summer to do some more siding work and I'll recommend them to anyone. thanks for everything Russ.
