It was advised to us to select an engineered hardwood floor since we were installing hardwood throughout the entire mainfloor including the kitchen. I believe this was a wise decision due to the fact that there is high traffic on the main level, the front door and back door track in alot of snow/moisture due to the constant opening and closing. The wood ordered ended up being too dark and Dodd and Souter had no problem changing to a lighter colour for us.

We opted for a soapstone countertop with an undermount sink. N & G is a small family run business and stands by their product and attention to detail. The installation was a smooth success, everything we expected. Although the countertop was a bit expensive, the overall result was worth the extra money.
