Installers cut through the aluminum siding on my house when installing 5 second story replacement windows. Then attempted to rectify this issue by reapplying cut-off J trim sections with caulking. As experienced, no amount of caulking can survive constant natural movement of the siding therefore, fails quickly and regularly. The result of their improper installation technique is water penetration inside the house and behind the siding. Only suitable and permanent solution to correct their improper installation is to install new siding on the house at a cost of over $28K. Additionally, when doing renovations 1 year after installation it was discovered that Milanos installer did not use any shims to secure the windows to the framing and they did not completely spray foam the gaps to create a seal. More information you should know. Milano Windows and Doors makes false and misleading claims on their website for the purpose of creating consumer confidence (the definition of a con man). They are Not-Rated by BBB (claim to have A+ rating) and they are not registered with SAWDAC, nor are they certified by Window Wise quality assurance program. Prior to entering into our agreement I was told that their installers were employees of the company. Only to find out afterwards that they are independent contractors, meaning the company has little control of the installation and contractors are accountable only to themselves. Using contractors means Milano can not and will never be certified by Window Wise Program. The company claims they provide a Lifetime Warranty on installation. However, the owner of Milano Windows and Doors has decided to ignore my multiple attempts to contact by phone/email/texts and has chosen not to honour their lifetime installation warranty. Milano Windows and Doors slogan is Dedicated to Perfection. In my experience, nothing could be further from the truth.

Company Response

This installation was completed in 2018 by the previous management and this review does not accurately reflect the work that was completed.
The pictures posted were taken before the installation was completed. Furthermore, the picture with the blue caulking was not completed by Milano. Company representatives visited your home on many occasions and advised you of the issues with your siding and roof hang. To claim that we are responsible for your siding issue is false and a direct attempt to slander the company. This information has been provided to Homestars and will be reviewing your review for false claims.

You can buy appliances anywhere but you can only find first class service here! I ordered new appliances for my kitchen from Andres at Salt & Pepper. Andres took the time to review features and benefits of various manufacturers within my budget to make sure all my needs were met. He provided a more than competitive price and looked after all the rebate paperwork and warranty registration. After delivery he visited my home to review functions of all the appliances and provided his professional opinion on how to use them. Afterwards, a couple issues came up and Andres provided terrific after sale service. He researched the issues, spoke to the manufacturer and was able to diagnose and solve the issues very quickly. You just don't get this kind of service with personal touch anywhere else. Thanks Andres!

This company provides the worst service and treat customers with disrespect. To make a very long story short, I paid over $5000 for 2 small wall mount custom vanities and 1 countertop from this company and experienced nothing but problems. Additionally, they thought it was acceptable to humiliate a customer when trying to resolve the issues. The sales rep (Lara) constantly made false claims and accusations. For one of the vanities Lara told me they could make a custom vanity in the style I wanted but then fabricated something very different without consulting me. Only after giving them $2700 and taking delivery of the boxed vanity did she tell me it couldn’t be done. Then she had the nerve to say, “Custom orders are final sale, check your invoice”. Instead of taking any responsibility her response was “you don’t listen”, and “you must be someone that likes to argue”. When the owner (John) got involved he employed bully tactics by constantly yelling over me while I was speaking. When I asked him if we could be handle this in a civilized fashion he said, “I used to be nice to people and got taken advantage of so now I am not nice anymore”. At one point he told me “you have nothing better to do than complain and give me a heart attack”. John was always too busy to deal with the issue. His favourite line was “I’ll call you back tomorrow” and never did. The initial transaction should have taken 3 weeks from sale to delivery, if they delivered what was promised. After a month of negotiating a settlement to exchange the vanities and waiting another 3 months for the replacement vanity to arrive they changed the deal the day before pick-up and demanded I pay another $500 to get the replacement vanity. Considering I have been living without a working bathroom vanity for 5 months now, and invested all this time and money and frustration, I had no other option but to surrender to their demands and move on. I completely regret buying from this company and recommend you don't either. Update: Company response just proves my point. Accusing a customer of blackmail and making up their own stories in an attempt to save their reputation. Unreal. You be the judge.

We are a company with 5 showroom and in bathroom & kitchen business for 30 years, with a huge reputation in market.
Mr. Joel was constantly changing his mind every now and then. He wanted Fairmont vanities and was not ready to wait for 4 months. He was informed from day one that we cannot copy, but can custom similar vanities. Also, he was informed in the very beginning that custom vanities are final sale.
Mr. Joel accepted custom vanity and installed with the help of a handyman who damaged the vanity. Which proves that he was completely happy and satisfied with the vanity.
Mr. Joel asked John for a favour to correct the wrong installation. John visited him and corrected the wrong installation of vanity by the handyman free of charge as a good gesture.
Two weeks later the same story was repeated for the second vanity.
Later he changed his mind and wanted the fairmont vanities, we have an exceptional customer service and we agreed to take back the already installed custom vanity provided he agrees, to the request to repair the damages done by his handyman, and to make the custom vanities into a saleable condition what he did not do. The fairmont vanities were supplied to him at cost price.
The reason for this bad review is that Mr. Joel was blackmailing John to give him money back for repairs charged for the custom vanity to make it in saleble condition.

I had 3 companies provide quotes for mold remediation from my attic space. One company didn't even offer to inspect but gladly gave me a $3000 quote over the phone. Another company did inspect the attic and quoted $1700 to do the job. So I called CRS for a quote. Aris came to site to inspect. He took a look in the attic and told me that the area of concern was actually water staining, adding that the staining appeared old. Likely caused from a leak prior to having the roof re-shingled 9 years ago. He determined that remediation was not required. This not only saved me thousands of dollars but also gave me great relief. Honesty and integrity are hard to find these days considering it seems like everyone is willing to take your money, even if not warranted. I am so happy that I called CRS and met Aris. True professionals!

I was not compensated to write this review. I don't normally write reviews however, based on my experience I felt compelled to write it. I am a particular consumer and found that The Eavestrough Company exceeded my expectations! If I could rate them an 11, I would. Wendell provided a very competitive estimate compared to the other highly rated competitors on HomeStars. He appeared down to earth and trustworthy so I decided to have The Eavestrough Company replace all soffit, fascia, capping, eavestrough and downspouts around my 50 year old home. Speaking of trustworthiness, no deposit was required so I didn't have to worry about putting money down and never seeing him again. Considering the age of the house, and the poor workmanship done by the previous owner, it was not without challenges to replace all the aluminum. However, if the crew identified any issues they always engaged me to discuss a solution. They took the time to show me their concerns, provided their expert opinion and consulted with me to come up with the best solution. They showed up on time and ready to work with a great attitude. The crew was well prepared (with more ladders than Home Depot) and took great concern not to damage the surroundings. The job took 2 full days and they did a terrific job cleaning the site after day 1 and at the end of the job. Unlike other contractors I used they understood that people were living in the house while the work was being done. Dusko, Jasmin, Josip and Alex are complete professionals and a pleasure to work with. The project did not go off without a hitch. However, even more impressive is how the company managed the issue. They used more downspout then estimated so they came up a little short on the downspout extensions. Wendell willingly apologized for the oversight and came back personally to replace them with new pieces. I was not invoiced for the work done until the extensions were install nor did they charge for the extra material. This was my first time going through a substantial home renovation project. My expectations are when hiring professionals, expect professional results. As it turns out my expectations appear unrealistic in today's environment. Not the case with The Eavetrough Company! They certainly delivered to my old school values. I only wish that I could say the same about some of the other contractors I hired. Thanks again Wendell, Dusko, Jasmin, Josip, Alex, Faye and Sharron. First class experience and a job well done!
