Our home is home to 2 seniors (aged 85+) and a paraplegic with permanent mobility issues. Since working with this company, it has brought our home stress, anger and unnecessary inconvenience. I would PLEAD you not to use this company, in your best interest and in the interest of deserving people of hard earned money. Work- We were looking to redo our entrance steps and the interlocking from the driveway, up the steps to the front door. The work estimated was $5990 and were promised 3 weeks until completion. We signed the forsaken contract and handed over a deposit in good faith. The sales rep, M was very polite, courteous and promised us the work will be a priority mainly because of the mobility issues that exists among the family members. A week later, Mega's crew begins work- ripping up the existing stone and steps. They were in and out in a couple hours, and with that they also took the first deposit, $1250. Mega then began our misery, 2 weeks later, WE had to call and ask for an ETA. Unfortunately, Mega explicitly doesn't give any promises, rocks have been ordered and we wait. No complaints at this point. 40 days later however after ~20calls, I called and issued a firm warning that would warrant some sort of an answer and not a vague promise for work that is taking extremely long. What came next, was utterly shocking and a rather disgusting approach to Customer Service. Customer Service- Until signing that contract, they were nothing but great. Since ripping out our property however, they have disappeared, VANISHED. I did manage to get hold of David, once my son took his opinion on Facebook. He called in less than 5mins! David- The pain this man has put our family through is literally worthy of a few tears. This man will charm you to a sale, but has NO integrity to keep up to his own promises. In the last 10 calls, David has yelled, cursed, insulted us far too many times to keep quiet. My son posted comments on Facebook (Sept 5th) (attached screenshot). David has used his comments AS AN EXCUSE to stop work! We clearly have grown tired of the call dodging and the same monotone reply and demanded work continue before the winter and cold come. David has been NOTHING but a pest, yelling back and telling us "Crooks dont call back",10 times at the top of his lungs. And threatening our family with taunts such as "call the Better Business Buraeu, they do nothing and you'll end up with nothing, we're covered anyways""go legal, you'll end up with nothing anyways". David, we just want OUR HOUSE WORK DONE. It's sad to see you've misled others on Homestars but you've put us through enough. Problem Resolution- David and his staff are simply too hard-headed to have any sort of compassion or even the decency to talk properly. I'm appalled with his attitude towards our project and the lack-lustre replies and excuses he pulls out of thin air. At this time, David doesnt trust us, and expects a certified chq from us and is charging us a surplus of money to "expedite" the work. My biggest concern, his crew will damage our property, work haphazardly and continue his careless attitude. Quick summary- - Mega takes contract, deposit - breaks ground 1 wk later, another deposit - not showed up since, have not even cleaned outside mess from ground breaking, excuses of bad summer weather?!, lack of stone, - stone on back order (as of Sept 11th, its been 44days), NO ETA, NO IDEA, no updates or callbacks. - call for answers, David yells to stop bothering him, hangs up ~6 times (Sept 10th/11th) - NO resolution, unwllling to work around son? and just pushing time until "weather permitting" rules apply.
