We received quotes from several different companies, and Joyce impressed us the most both with her attention to detail and very competitive price. After deciding to contract their services, we were directed to a granite supplier with dozens of options for our preferred granite of Typhoon Bordeaux in order to select the slabs we wanted. Unfortunately, we had a sudden death in the family the week before installation was scheduled, and Joyce was very understanding and accommodating in rescheduling things for us. Our 2 tier island especially was a challenging install, but the workers persisted late into the night to ensure the granite was installed to our satisfaction. We could not be more satisfied with the end result. Joyce and her team exceeded expectations giving us what is now a gorgeous feature of our kitchen and home.

Our roof needed replacement in early Spring and the crew who did the job faced some very challenging weather conditions. Our fairly large roof also has multiple valleys which added to the challenge. Mid week an unexpected storm put the job on hold for a day, and we were worried that the high winds would damage the partially completed roof, but the guys were very careful to only do the roof in segments that could be completed same day. And then about a week after completing the job to perfection, we had yet another storm with 100+ km winds causing a lot of damage throughout southern Ontario, but not a single shingle budged on our new roof. Great job guys. I could not have been more impressed.

Our 12 year old home had a radiant floor heating system covering both the main level and lower level (3,600 sq ft) installed at the time of construction by the previous owners. However, when we started to use the system when the cold weather arrived (October 2015), the system was very erratic with spikes in temperature and very challenging to keep house at a consistent level of warmth. Mackay sent a technician to inspect the system which was determined to be in excellent condition, but several key shortcuts and oversights with the original installation. This was a very complicated fix which took several days to correct, with the president, Andrew Bloom inspecting the project on a couple of occasions as well. The end result was a dramatic transformation of our system. We did not need to adjust any controls or the thermostats once since corrected. Our winter gas bills have been under $100/month. The level of professionalism and expertise with this company is off the charts. This is now 2 unconventional systems they have installed or improved in our home and we could not be more satisfied with the service and results provided.

We moved into a new home with radiant floor heating, but no conventional duct work or air conditioning. MacKay Heating personified professional service from start to finish in delivering a timely solution, explaining things clearly and providing expert installation. We were unfamiliar with ductless air conditioning, and so were somewhat anxious about how effective this would be in cooling our home. It is an involved process, so took 2 technicians 2 days to carefully complete the installation. We went with a 2 zone split system, with one unit in our main living space and one in the master bedroom area, on the main floor and nothing in the basement. We live in an 1,800 sq ft bungalow with a fully finished 1,800 sq ft basement. This took place 11 weeks ago in mid June. We were very impressed at the time with the sales and installation process, but I have deliberately waited until now to be able to provide feedback on a full summer with our new AC system. Well, we have had 30+ degree weather the past week, and this system has worked to perfection every day cooling BOTH the main floor AND basement. In fact, we have never once adjusted the initial setting of 73 degrees. We are absolutely impressed with this system as well as receiving very positive feedback from the dozens of visitors who have come to our home. I would not hesitate to recommend MacKay Heating AND this amazing Mitsubishi AC system which has exceeded our expectations. We could not be more pleased.

David did a great job installing our storm door. This was an expensive door which was very challenging to install. However, David persisted and did an amazing job. He is a real perfectionist and obviously takes great pride in his workmanship. He was on time and we would defintely use him again. We are extremely pleased with the excellent work that was done.
