My entire basement was completed flooded because Moe did not secure the water treatment hose properly. As a result, the water pressure caused the hose to pop out of the sewage drain when it was doing the backwash. This is a brand new house, and we were not moved in, so the water was flooding the house overnight. While Moe initially responded quickly and came to fix the issue and secure the hose properly, he did not want to assume the responsibility of the damages caused by the flood. He claimed it was other contractors and it wasnt his fault, despite the fact that the hose was just loosely placed in the sewage pit. Of course over time, it would eventually pop out. When I got upset, he only offered to service my UV filter the following year, which is only $300. The total cost for damages was over $1000. The trim and flooring was permanently damaged and I had to fight with our builder for months to get it repaired. No one wanted to assume responsibility and expected me to just pay for the damages like a shmuck. Mo even empathized with the contractors and my builder instead of me. He accused me of being materialistic and that my personal items that got damaged are just things. Youre very young, one day youll make this money back, so it doesnt matter. He was very condescending and rude when I said I work hard for my money. He did not care for what he put me through and only cared that I remove the bad review that I originally wrote. A few weeks after the flood, I noticed the concrete on my floor was discoloured and that there was deep ragged marks. My husband and I paid $6000 to have the concrete floor polished and sealed. The backwash brine ate through the floor. Mo became unresponsive after. We are a young couple that doesnt have deep pockets. We have been struggling to afford our home and to have our personal items destroyed and the brand new basement damaged is obviously devastating. I would advise everyone to avoid this business. Moe only cares about padding his wallet. There are other more reputable companies that would not do what he did. In the end, its been over a year and he never came to perform the free UV filter service that he promised.
