We hired Pat and his crew from Tricolour Concrete to dig out our East end semi basement. Pat referred a great engineer (YCL) who provided the drawings and all the necessary permits. Pat and his crew showed up before 7am so that they could have the jack hammers going at 7am. The project took about 4 weeks but it seemed to go by so quickly. There was hardly any down time during this project. The guys worked their butts off shoveling dirt out of our basement window and the into the bin. As each section was nearing completion, they would call for an inspection and the engineer and or city inspector would show up and shortly there after the cement truck would arrive and they would hustle up to get the cement in place. Once the underpinning was done they installed new drains, weeping tile, waterproofing membrane and dug the pit for the sump pump and gave us an 8 foot ceiling height. The crew was always friendly and courteous and cleaned up after every day. We are so pleased with our new basement and would highly recommend Tricolour for their expertise, efficiency and professionalism. E.A

We hired YCL to do the structural drawings for our basement underpinning project of our semi detached. Yu Ching provided the necessary drawings, applied for all the permits on our behalf and answered any questions we had along the way in a timely manner. His team always showed up on time for the inspections and they also had a great relationship with our contractor Tri-Colour Concrete. We would highly recommend YCL for their services as they were very knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. E.A

We bought an old semi that needed a new roof. Marcel gave us a fair quote but what set him apart from the other companies was that he took the time to see what kind of condition the roof was in (we have a flat roof, back slope and front slope). The other companies offered to put a new layer of tar on the flat roof at the back but Marcel noticed that there was rotting in spots and suggested replacing the areas of concern with new plywood. He also removed 6 layers of shingles on the back slope (6 layers of shingles is unheard of). We were also getting water spots in our front bedroom, which Marcel explained was b/c the front slope was not done properly. He also brought in his shop vac and sucked up a hornets nest. They capped the old chimney and added more vents. His men (his bothers) were efficient and they cleaned up the mess and they were able to schedule the job shortly after doing the estimate. Since the repairs, we have had no leaks!

We took possession of our 85 year old semi and wanted to take down the partition walls and discovered that the duct work was wrapped in asbestos paper (original to the house). We called on a Saturday morning of the July long weekend and our call was returned within a few hours. Robert made arrangements to come out and have a look. We had 2 other companies come out and give quotes but Templar's was the best. The crew came in a few days later and removed the wrapped duct work and any extra pieces. They were clean and efficient. We are very satisfied with the service and work and would not hesitate to recommend Templar.
