We used Sharrard Painting to refinish our kitchen and master bathroom cupboards from a dark burgundy to grey and they did an excellent job. We could tell from the time Todd came to provide us with a quote that he really cared about the quality of his work and his customers’ satisfaction. He was extremely thorough and detailed when discussing the job and looked at all areas including the trim and counters. The other larger companies just counted cupboards and drawers to provide a quote. Todd and his company even had two new cupboards built for us to add extra cupboard space where a wooden wine rack used to be. They came back a few times to touch things up and make sure everything was perfect. We are very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Sharrard Painting for a great quality job at a reasonable price.

The customer service at New Century Maids is great - Kamila and Isabelle respond very quickly to enquiries and they try their best to make sure the customer is accommodated. Unfortunately I was not thrilled with the quality of the cleaning that the 2 women did for us for our "move in" clean. I think they would be good at just a general cleaning, but they didn't really do a complete and thorough scrub of the house we moved into. We noticed that some of the bathroom counters, inside the closets and kitchen cupboards still had dust/dirt on them. The previous owners of the house were neat but dust had accummulated and we didn't want to put our things away until everything was thoroughly cleaned. There were also a lot of paint chips that had fallen on the stone floor after the painters were gone. If my mother hadn't been on her hands and knees with a scrub brush, indicating to the cleaners that there were still marks on the floor, they would have left without cleaning the floor properly. If you want a very thorough move in cleaning job, they may not be the best choice, but they did a good enough job for regular cleaning, in my opinion.

We used Benini Moving for our move from Liberty Village to Port Credit. They were very hard-working and careful, despite the few issues we had. The building we were moving out of only had 2 elevator banks in the back where our unit was, and one was out of service during the elevator technicians' strike. So the building would not put the elevator on service for Angelo and his crew. Nonetheless, they moved as quickly as they could. It took them twice as long as anticipated, but they kept working! Then at the house in Port Credit, a lot of items would not fit up the stairs due to the low ceiling on the stairwell. Angelo and his crew always stopped, explained the issue, gave us our options, and proceeded with how we wanted things handled. By the time they were done (after having worked tirelessly from 9am to 6pm), Angelo said it was like they had moved an entire house rather than a 2 bedroom + den loft. But they did this without complaint and made sure to be very careful with everything. We were grateful for their patience and glad that they were so cautious. I would recommend Angelo and his crew to anyone that wants personalized customer service and careful movers!
