A few weeks after found out there was mold behind my shower and in my kitchen ceiling, due to a small leak behind the shower. One hole in my closet dry wall now and kitchen ceiling to repair the issue. Could have been discovered during inspection.

There were no indications of any moisture whatsoever. Using infrared or moisture meters. The area was dry at the time of the inspection and areas behind walls that cannot been seen are not a part of the inspection as it would have required destructive investigation, a home inspection is a visual only inspection. The report clearly states that hidden areas are beyond the scope of a home inspection. There is also a clear statement within the report warning of freshly painted walls that can conceal previous and current water issues. The warnings were not heeded. Mold can also grow within 24-48 hours of it becoming wet. If the problem occurred after the inspection there would be no way to tell.
