We have very soft water coming out of our well but it stinks! For more than 40 years we had a potassium permanganate filters that did a pretty good job to remove the sulphur smell. But it was getting more expensive and more difficult to buy the potassium. So when the time came to change the media in the filter we decided to purchase a new filter instead. We bought a Chemical Free Air Injection System with a Clack valve from Ottawa Water Filters. It has been working great. No sulphur smell, more water pressure and we also think that it has reduced the tannin in the water.
