I've been living in a Minto building in Downtown Toronto for a year and a half, and my advice is: if you have another option, don't live here. The building markets itself as a high-end building, but it's not. If you want to deal with issues like: air conditioning not working, structural problems in the apartment, rats on the balcony, basic items in your unit not working for months, and neighbors throwing trash and vomiting on your balcony, don't move to this Minto building because although some of these problems may not be directly the building management's fault, they are completely negligent in resolving issues. Not all emails are responded to, and they take months to solve simple situations. Furthermore, they rent out units with structural problems and don't inform you about them before renting. The amenities (when they're working) and the location of the building are great, but it's not worth the headache of living in a place where you pay over $2500 TO LIVE IN a 48sqm apartment full of problems with negligent management.
