A service technician was booked online for Appliance Repair Expert, and he came Monday, Sep 25. After spending time with the machine (GE Top load washer) the technician informed us the mother board was broken and would need to be replaced. He said he would look to see if they had a used board. If they did, it would cost $150 to repair or if not, a new one would cost $350 plus installation..The technician recommended not doing the repair. We paid the service charge by visa ($89 + tax) and the tech left. Three days later, we had not heard anything and started follow up with customer service. We were told they had contacted the technician. We received no response. Multiple subsequent texts and calls from my wife and I occurred but no contact yet. We asked for a different technician but were told that would incur another $89 service charge. Our calls were consistently escalated past customer service to a manager who insisted the technician had been contacted. To date, 10 days later we still have not been contacted. The last instruction we gave them was to replace the motherboard with a new one. No response yet. Additional Note: their web page shows 277 - 5 star reviews but they have mixed up Google Reviews with Home Star reviews. This is not consistent with the actual Home Stars and Google reviews which has many negative reviews of situations like ours.
