Recently renovated our 60's home and used Graniteworx in Calgary. John was extremely helpful. He was very patient with emails and multiple showroom visits as we tried to decide on the right granite for us. Install team was very nice and did an amazing job! They even accommodated our request for no cuts/seam on main kitchen counter. Price was comparable to most quotes we received but the service was great. Nice to deal with supplier rather than an installer that sends you all around the city to different suppliers and charges by the slab (we were told 2 slabs for our job). Graniteworx charged by the sqft. Only downfall was we went with leather finish so the sealer they used after install must not have been the correct one. Tops were very fragile for some reason and scratched easily from even a plastic kettle dragged onto it. But once I bought a proper sealer and sealed them they are indestructible. Everyone loves the result and we recommend Graniteworx to everyone and will use for future projects!

Recently renovated our older home and this was the place our contractor uses. We did laminate plank flooring and tiles for the bathroom shower and kitchen backsplash. Flooring looks good but they didn't use floor leveler. Lots of areas that snap out of place when you walk on them due to the floor bring unlevel. Was promised by contractor they would do that but they never did. Paid for all of it right after floor was done. Didn't know the issues as we didn't move in until month or so later. Bathroom shower tile job was horrible. Chipped tiles everywhere. They returned to replace one but the tile doesn't match. All others are chipped from apparently using wring spacers and cheap tile (different tiler opinion) Most tiles are unlevel. Caulking job looks like 5 year old did it. We had to take the backsplash work away from them as the quality was soo poor. They refused to refund the portion that was paid for backsplash and never came to fix issues. Stay away from this company unless you want to do the work twice.

Recently we began to renovate our old 1960's bi level. Our contractor didn't have a window person so we started our search. Due to the fact that we were having numerous issues with other areas of our reno (quality of trades, contractor not completing works as promised, etc) I decided to only speak to window companies that people I know have used. We had a few quotes and were lucky enough to see the final install and quality of each company. Window Seal West came in significantly cheaper than one of Calgary's #1 window companies which we also had quotes from. After comparing the quality between the two we decided to go with window seal west as the quality was similar. The warranty period was less but the savings would allow us to buy a few windows if there was ever a problem after the warranty period Fast forward to install. Was a long wait as is with all window companies. The team came and completed all windows in the house and sliding rear door in 2 days. Very nice and professional team. Explained everything and did a really good detailed job. They even added trim around the only window we didn't have replaced in bathroom as the tiler and general contractor never came back to do the trim. Will be using Antony and WSW for all future window projects.
