The team at squeaky cleaning responded to my request for quote very quickly, were flexible with scheduling the service, and provided all the needed information up front. As a result of a miscommunication when booking the appointment, the crew sent believed they would need to complete a post-construction cleaning, wherein the renovation has not been completed. Squeaky cleaning has clarified that different tools and methods are used before and after surface coverings like drywall and flooring are installed. Squeaky cleaning has advised that the sales team may not have been aware of the importance of making the distinction between a post-construction and a post-renovation cleaning. The crew brought the equipment and supplies appropriate for a post-construction cleaning, which was not the appropriate type of cleaning given that the renovation had been completed fully. The crew arrived at 8:30 and wanted to leave at 4:30, in spite of the fact that some of them were seen taking breaks. When I sent copies of the camera footage to the office, they did require the crew to continue cleaning until 5 PM. Nevertheless, several windows were not initially cleaned, much dust remained on the floor, and paint splatter was still present on the floor close to the trim. I did point out the paint splatter to one of the crew members while they were here, however not all of it was dealt with during the initial visit. I did not immediately notice the windows that were not fully clean, but did mention this to the office during our call later that day. I did not mention the condition of the floor prior to the crew leaving but did mention it to the office. When I reported the remaining deficiencies to the office, they said they were surprised to hear this as the crew had informed them they were fully equipped to complete a post-construction cleaning. Of course, at this time, I was still under the impression that a post-construction cleaning was the appropriate type of cleaning for the home in its current state. The office offered a return visit to rectify the deficiencies. In the end, the return visit was not needed immediately as our realtor provided cleaners free of charge just before the photographer took the listing photos. I did have to accept the realtor's offer because we needed the house photographed and listed ASAP to make the spring market. I did mention the urgency to the office supervisor, but did not feel that the office got back to me with a date for a return visit quickly enough to meet our timelines. Squeaky cleaning would have come back on Thursday, one week later, if it had suited our timelines. I spent all day that Thursday preparing the listing for the photographer. As a result, squeaky cleaning offered 6 hours of labour for general cleaning prior to the closing date of the sale. The realtor's cleaners indicated they found the original cleaning job incomplete. In fairness, some of that was due to dust settling in the week after the original cleaning and additional traffic inside the home. In my opinion 2 of the 4 hours spent by the realtor's cleaners were arguably spent. finishing the original cleaning job booked with squeaky cleaning. As a result of my lingering dissatisfactions and the posting of the review, the office called back to ask how they can resolve the issues we had with the service. I did clarify that the home was very clean at that moment after the realtor's cleaners and that there was not a lot left to do. Nevertheless, the office felt it important that one of the management team return to review the condition of the home, discuss any outstanding deficiencies, and assist her crew member to address outstanding deficiencies. As of the last modification to this review on June 16th, the home is currently in a pleasantly clean condition that we are proud to show to buyers. Based on my discussion with the management representative that attended on June 16th, I feel that Squeaky Cleaning takes a lot of pride in their workmanship and is very receptive to client feedback. I have the impression that they recognize the areas for improvement that were discussed and will make a sincere effort to making improvements to their needs assessment and scheduling processes to ensure that clients like us in a time crunch get the service and attention they need.
