I ran into trouble with a difficult to pinpoint water leak that was affecting my newly built basement ceiling. Matt came in and opened a hole up so that we could figure out what was going on. We found the source and Matt did a tremendous job patching the hole. The ceiling is now painted and you'd be hard pressed to see where he did the work. I'm thoroughly satisfied.
I was so pleased with the results of the last time I hired Strokes of Genius that I knew I'd ask them back once our new basement Reno was at an advanced stage. We could have done Daniel's team a favour by having the new carpet installed after they'd painted, but things don't always go in the ideal order. It didn't matter in the end because the job was done beautifully in just 2 days. Normally I don't mind doing a bit of painting myself, but Strokes of Genius is so good, so efficient, and their prices so reasonable that I may not take up a brush again! Thanks guys!
Hallway and staircase with high ceilings
I'd never hired a painter before, but my current home has some high walls and ceilings that I wasn't confident to tackle. I met Daniel at the Ottawa Home Show in January. He came round when it suited me best to discuss our plans and before leaving he offered some excellent suggestions (he has tons of experience) and a very reasonable quote. The guys were in the house for 3 days. They thoroughly prepped and sanded before applying 2 coats to everything. They even took photos showing how well they protected the floors and stairs while working on the ceilings. He used very good paint, but paint isn't cheap (even with the discount he can secure). I joked at the beginning that I didn't want the finsihed job to look like I'd done it, and it looks just brilliant! I don't usually say that about my painting skills :-)
