Ruel responded quickly to our post seeking an electrician to upgrade our homes electrical panel from a 100 amp to a 200 amp service. We are pleased we went with him for several reasons: Right away he demonstrated a breadth of experience when assessing our situation and troubleshooting a problem in the existing panel; his quote was quite reasonable in comparison to another quote we got; he was familiar with Toronto Hydros paperwork and timelines, which expedited that part of the process. Also, Ruel has excellent standing with the ESA, which made the inspection part easy. After completion of the work in late September we cant say enough about the quality of service Ruel provided. When our existing panel failed during the month-long wait for Toronto Hydro he came on the Labour Day holiday to restore our power without charging us. He figured out the problem and got enough of the electrical system working for us to manage through the 3-week wait for Toronto Hydro. He identified a ground wire problem and found an ingenious way of stringing it through our basement ceiling to avoid opening up the wall which was a huge savings in time and mess that we greatly appreciated. Ruel was also prompt and left the work areas tidy. He is a very professional and pleasant contractor to work with. I have no hesitation in recommending him for upgrading a residential electrical panel.
