Renovation of basement and addition of porch
Sheldon's renovation of our basement has transformed it from a frumpy, boring white stucco nothing into a beautiful, informal area for relaxing and entertaining . This space brings together a wonderful blend of contemporary and historic perspectives. We love it! It features insulated stone walls, about 6" thick, imaginatively and expertly laid over original stone walls that were built in 1860. Elegant bookshelves line one wall; a 250-bottle wine rack fills another wall. Ceiling beams enhance the spaciousness. We are delighted with the results of this project!
