Turnbull Roofing replaced my shingles in 2012 and 6 times since then, shingles - sometimes complete shingles - have blown off my roof. After the 3rd time I was told by Turnbull that there was a bad batch of shingles and it was not their fault and to file a claim with the shingle manufacturer. The stipulation from the manufacturer is that they require 2 full shingles to do their investigation and the 5th time I lost shingles, there were 2 full ones from the assortment that had blown off and I sent them in. The report came back that the shingles had been improperly installed. In one of the samples I sent, there were only 3 nails that had penetrated the shingle (when 8 is the minimum and 12 is the standard) and they were high nailed (above the acceptable location to secure that shingle and the shingle below it). Turnbull has a 10 year non-prorated guarantee against poor workmanship and even though under warranty it was proven that the shingles on this particular section of the roof were not installed correctly, they refused to make it right. In addition, because the shingles were improperly installed, the 30 year IKO warranty on my 10 year old shingles is now void.
