Service on our Rinnai tankless water heater
We just had Kris from Reliance Holmes Heating & Cooling come to service our Rinnai tankless water heater yesterday. We'd been experiencing issues with poor water temperature (below 100 degress F) since Oct 2012. We rent the tank through Reliance. We had put in several calls to Reliance and had several service appointments by Allied who were never able to pinpoint the problem - "it must be an issue with the venting", "it could be ice/snow build up around the exhaust" etc. We even had Harding take a look in the attic at the venting and they determined it wasn't the cause of the problem. That's when the tech from Harding recommended we ask Reliance to send someone from Holmes Heating (who he highly recommended). The next day we had a service appointment scheduled with Holmes Heating. Within 20 minutes of his arrival, Kris had identified the problem (a detached wire within the Rinnai system) and fixed it. When he ran the system for the first time after repairing it, he noticed it was quite loud. He immediately suspected the ventor wheel and ended up finding a small wasp inside it, which through it's balance off. Now the Rinnai runs perfectly! Not only was Kris efficient, knowledgeable and kind, he took the time to explain and demonstrate to me what the problem was and how he fixed it. It's not every day that you find such great service. I'm so happy I requested Holmes Heating to service our Rinnai. I can finally have a hot bath without having to boil a few kettles! This company is at the top of my list if we ever have any problems with our Rinnai again. I would highly recommend them! Thanks again Kris!
