We had Burnco do our aggregate concrete driveway, which was done beautifully! So we hired them again to do our backyard patio. We liked the exposed aggregate but we found it wasn't quite as washed evenly on the backside. Still a good product, much nicer than our neighbours (their exposed aggregate looks awful). I feel our driveway is the nicest of the block :) Price-wise, they are fair and reasonable, and did the project in a decent amount of time. Lack of follow-up on service, but no major complaints. Bob is a nice guy to deal with!

We had them do 2 of our countertops in our bathroom. They are a little pricey for the job, but easier than ripping out the older countertop.... or so we thought. One countertop went fine, but because the other bathroom had a natural quartz backsplash with variations in the depth, they couldn't put their countertop right on top. So we had to pay extra to have them remove the old countertop anyways. I might as well have gone with solid quartz for that bathroom. So just be careful what surface you plan to redo. Also keep in mind they cost almost the same as getting a solid granite/quartz top.

Really nice customer service. Tim took the time to measure all our windows, help use choose colors, and pick out styles for our entire house. The only thing is they don't do drapery, and we wanted that for our gigantic 15 foot window. However, in terms of price, it was pretty decent for the higher end blinds we were looking at. They even do wood shutters too. The only reason I didn't do my project with them was because we changed our minds and about blinds and wend with big, custom wood shutters that needed a custom wood-worker for some of our windows. Otherwise we would have hired these guys hands down.

Had my leaky house windows replaced with triple-pane with this company. My house is now way more air-tight, and my heating bill has improved a bit! Its a big pricey to do, but worth it for the comfort and money saved in heating. It also feels more comfortable to be near the windows with triple-pane.

They are the best place to go to buy a chemical-free mattress. Almost all mattress companies (serta, beautyrest, sealy, kingsdown, tempurpedic...etc) are all made with memory foam and harsh chemical fire-repellants which off-gas toxic VOC (volatile organic compunds)... Do you really want to sleep on something like that for 1/3 of your life?? Halstead can build you a VOC-free mattress with safer, more natural materials. They can be comparable in price to the big brands, and just as or more comfortable. They use natural latex and organic cotton. I highly recommend as I feel I can sleep safe and healthy at night.

Hired Cardel to build our house. Their upgrade prices were ridiculously overpriced... I could have bought the material at fraction of what they were charging, but they won't let me supply any of my own material: they make you buy through them. They also have shoddy workmanship, and claim that its "industry standard". Well, I say their standards are quite low as I've had multiple trades comment on how bad their work on the finishings were, and I had to pay for my own trades to fix their terrible work.
