My ceiling through my entire home was quite messed up by my parrots as strange as it sounds, they would try to grip onto it upside-down since it was stucco and had some texture for them to try to grab. I originally had a stucco style ceiling done since I figured if anything happens to it over time it won’t show as easily because of the texture. I made the mistake of choosing a very light stucco finish, the damage on them more than shows. I hired regal design to remove the stucco and repaint my ceiling. They did a perfect job and I was happy with it, but without any sort of embellishment everything looked bland. I did a lot of browsing through their website gallery and was inspired by a few things. I called them asked if they could do some wood design in the top corners of the ceilings that would be parrot-proof. They installed wainscoting as well with a finish that my pets can’t grip onto and it’s resistant to scratches.
