We hired Kiza Construction, led by Zoran, to do a basic siding job on the front and the back of our house. We gave the 30% deposit ($4,800) as required and they started the job. Second day on the job, they broke a window and said it was an accident and will replace it. He asked for another deposit ($2,300) to pay the electrician - although it was no required as part of the deposit, we agreed because the electrician was onsite working. A week into the job, communication reduced and they stopped showing up. Then the constant excuses from Zoran started - rain, sick, do not the materials, holiday, no workers, etc. He would say we are coming tomorrow multiple times and never show up. He would say he has the materials then say he doesnt. Texts back and forth and 6 weeks goes by and the job is only 25% done. My house, including electrical wires, have been exposed to rain for over 5 weeks. I then ask Zoran if he plans on finishing the job and if not, give me the money back and Ill find someone else. He responds saying he needs more money ($4,000) from me to get the job done. I was not going to give him more than the agreed deposit to finish a job that is already over 5 weeks late. He responded Find someone else. They have done this to other customers in the past and seem to think they can just wash their hands of things by leaving jobs. So we have filed through small claims court to sue him for money paid ($7,100) for unfinished work and damage to my property (broken window). To make matters worse, when we had other companys come out to complete the work, all of them said the work that was done is completely wrong and the person who did it does not know what they are doing. Save yourself time and do not go with this unprofessional, unethical and complete lack of integrity company.
